Pre-Match Thread Southend Utd v Ipswich Town Saturday 3.00pm. 26.Oct 2019

What's your starting 11 and result prediction for Saturday?

I'm not sure we have more than about 12 players available for this one with all the suspensions, so it'll be mainly a case of where they line-up.

Sol's Macclesfield were playing 3 at the back by the end of his tenure so it might be a return to that after shipping 7 (SEVEN) last night.

Oxley is likely to return as he only played because you don't change a drawing team.
Ralph may be taken out of the firing line and Demetriou may now remember that he use to play on the left in order to impress the new manager whilst the lure of playing against his old club should be enough to tempt Hyam back from injury and to replace Hamilton.

............................Oxley
...........Kiernan... Milligan.. Lennon
Bwomono... Hyam... Dieng... Demetriou
......Hutchinson... Cox... Humphrys
........................Hopper

Subs Bishop, Shaugnessy, Ralph, Mantom, Goodship, Egbri, Acquah

Would we be nice to field 12 players, let's hope no one notices

You've got 12 in your team....

I’d actually get Kiernan back in the CDM role he played towards the end of last season. In my opinion that’s his best position. Would also drop Ralph and get JD in at left back.

Something like this and hope for the best I suppose. 4411

Oxley

Elvis Shaughnessy Milligan Demetriou

Hutch Dieng Kiernan Goodship

Cox

Hopper

Does segregation restrict the amount of away tickets we give ?
Bearing in mind a few will pitch up to welcome Sol and team, why not give Ipswich East Blacks - another 200+ x £23 - build up Sol's January funds ?

That wouldn't work as they'd need to use the same entrance as home fans. Potential for plenty of fun and games in that tunnel by the Far Post bar.

You can't really put the away fans anywhere else except the North Bank.

Colin

I going to the game , be going down the Groundmans below the East stand for a Beer this time ;-)

Have say I did found it a little funny on Tuesday ..... 1-0 up, I go and make a cuppa, BIG SMILE , come back to being now 2-1 down ...unbelievable

Ipswich before Sunday, only conceded 5 goals all season. Now another 4 ( as I compose this ) to that. 2 defeats out of 2, let's make it 3 out of 3.
Come on you Blue Boys.

I gave up trying to pick a team from this shower,But really interested in seeing how we line up Saturday, even though its such a short time for Sol to see the players ,i think he will have more idea off the players he believes can perform in a week or two s time .
