Timlin did well covering on Saturday, but got drawn out of position a bit. Would prefer White if fit or Kyprianou for pace, not forgetting how well I have seen our legend play at left back!!

Fair point too, Barrett can obviously cover there.

Must admit, I was surprised by the amount of times players slipped on the pitch on Saturday. Hope they wear longer studs tomorrow!.

I put it down to these ridiculous synthetic coloured balls that we use now-a-days. They are so light and zip across the pitch resulting in the players having to change direction or move suddenly and the "stud/pitch interface" can't cope with the forces involved.

Better when the ball was leather and got heavier as the game went on - that allows the players to move more leisurely across the playing surface ...................

we're going to lose.
everyone is being really positive, we played well last time out. I sadly can't make this one, which usually helps us, but nah, we're screwed.

I must admit , while I think we will win , I feel less stressed when it's Bradford and I'm hoping for a gutsy draw than playing Swindon after a big win.
Having said that , the mentality of the side at the moment suggests that they will be up for it again.
COYB !

17-0 with a Swindon supporter spontaneously combusting in the stands like a Catherine Wheel, and I mean the shoegazing 90s band not the firework you fools.

Coker definately out, and Cox very doubtful.

Would get Kyprianou in for Coker and Fortune for Ranger. Will mean a slightly more direct approach I think without Cox.

Or could go Ranger up front on his own with Timlin in a five man attacking midfield? Fortune to replace Ranger after 70 minutes?

Good decisions to have!!!

Kyprianou it has already been mentioned is an injury doubt too!

Based on the above. Fortune for Cox. Timlin for Coker.

Definitely stick to 4-4-2. Do NOT change a system that's working. Change the personnel only.

Stat ;

In their last 20 away games against teams positioned above them in the table, Swindon have won 1, drawn 8 and lost 11 of these matches.

Now I know you fancy John White but he would also be a LB playing at RB. White will probably be ruled out by injury but both he and O'Neil are more than capable on the left. The same basics of defending still apply, the only thing is you might be tempted to cross on your right foot.....And what left back would ever think of doing that :stunned:

Kyp is still a work in progress and when he played at Bolton for example we had 3 CB's with Barrett on the left to look after the young lad and on a few occasions he was needed.

Don't think Kyp did himself any favours at Stevenage (who did). Needs to show more aggression, he is a tall lad for LB but showed no conviction going for headers against a much smaller opponent.

Having said that I'm not slagging Kyp, there's something about him I really like, better delivery than Coker for example. PB likes to give the youth a chance but has also praised O'Neil lately, so there you have it.....The LB for tomorrows game will be Kyp, O'Neil, or White if he is passed fit.....And who said we have to many RB's at the club.

John White 'would also be a RB playing at LB' is what you meant to say

2 of our goals against Bradford came once Cox had been subbed off for Fortune, he's a big guy but he's still got a bit of pace on him so I'd go 4-4-2 over a lone striker role (although Ranger is probably more suited to that job than Mooney was).

Yeah Fortune looked a different class when he came on, how much of that was down to fresh legs I don't know but it seemed effortless. Great touch, ball control and vision. His ball in for the own goal was going to give Ranger an open goal so Vincelot had to try and cut it out.
