Not until we have new owners! Or at least some new players! Still think we will win and be right up there come the end of season.

They are second favourites for the league and have signed really well from what I can see. Their manager sorted them out in the second half of last season (much like us 12 months previously) and I'm sure they'll be bang up for this. They probably are slightly ahead of us in terms of match fitness too.

If we're to stand any chance until we can get a bigger squad, we need to develop a siege mentality and fight as a team like dogs. I'm not sure we have players who think like that, or a management team that's can foster that. To say I'm nervous is an understatement.

**** it. Be alreet.

We are getting slapped on Saturday
TBH i think a point would be a fantastic result, although i'd be surprised if we got one?. We are behind in pre season preparation, & have limited options for the team & formation we're play.
Plus the weather for Saturday looks awful, & with a wet, sodden pitch i've no doubt we we tire quicker than Oldham in the 2nd half?. I just hope we don't get a couple injured, as that will hugely affect our starting 11 the following week at Dagenham.
But come what may, my youngest son & me will be there Saturday, giving vocal support for 90 mins & irrelevant of the result, if the players give 100% that'll do for us.

Keep the faith...we didn't think we would stand a chance against Man United with Ronaldo and Rooney up-front and that didn't turn out too bad.

Can't wait for Saturday....Come on you Blues!!!!

Interesting that spending seems to be the order of the day to get out of this league now. Stockport, Wrexham and Notts County have all done it. Now Chesterfield and Oldham are trying. Yes there is the lottery of the playoffs, but you have to spend to take that top spot now.

Our biggest problem last season was scoring goals and looking at our current 11, you'd say the same. Chesterfield have Grigg and Oldham have Norwood. You have to score goals to do well in this league. Hopefully if there is something positive with the takeover, we can address that.

In the meantime, we just have to remain behind the team and not have too many expectations. Utb!

Not really sure why people think we’ll get absolutely battered?

I get the lack of squad, but IF we get no injuries on the day then that first 11 is a competitive side.

We might slip to a loss but doubt they’ll be ripping through us at will?
I agree the first 11 should be competitive. But we also have had a sub optimal (possible contender for understatement of the season) pre season. Rarely are only 11 players used in a match and so really you need to look at the bench as well, and to me that's weaker than last season. And the conditions the players are training in have also declined - it wouldn't surprise if squad morale has also dipped, with more than one player questioning if they want to be at the club. I hope we don't get ripped apart, but a thrashing wouldn't surprise me
