Starting XI and Result

Sticking my neck out and saying we will either

Win 1-0 and be criticised on SZ for being dull and boring

Draw 0-0, same as above but greater frequency of 'crab footballs' and 'Maher outs'

Win 4-0 but only because Halifax are the worst team to play Southend since 1906.

Lose by a narrow margin leading to full on hysterical attack on Bonne, Husin, COSU, Maher, John Still, Stan Collymore, new burger bars and the white board plus intensified calls to 'recall Wood' and to 'give Waldron a chance'.

Absolutely hit the nail on the head!

I'm not hopeful of this one going ahead. South side of the pitch was frozen yesterday with some sort of heater trying to thaw it out. -6 forecasted for Friday night with daytime temps very cold too.
I think it's also forecast to be very cold tonight, -5ish. So 2 very cold nights on the trot.

you forgot to mention the game being called off because the pitch is frozen and everyone blames the groundsmen

Are you looking to bring players in?

Maher: "Yes, without a doubt. You can see where we're short and it changes so quickly in football.

"We left three people out the squad only a few weeks ago and now we have five on the bench.

"It happens so quickly, probably more so at this football club than any other."

"We want to score more goals and there are changes in that area which is out of our hands. It's up to other people to step up."

Asked about the illness Gus Scott-Morriss and James Golding have been suffering with, Maher replies: "There's still a bit going around and we haven't had them all training. It's something else we'll have to watch out for and there's a lot going around .

"It's right throughout the club, not just the football department.

"It needs monitoring."

"Dont worry though we have great contingency plans, recruitment is going astonishingly well and at a pace, John Still has personally watched 767 games in the past 8 weeks , although sadly the moneyball laptop exploded but me and Benno are not past it yet"

Actually that might not be accurate and possibly fake news
