Post-Match Thread and Ratings Southend United 4-0 Ebbsfleet

I mean not wanting to offend anyone but you have met the general public right?
There is a saying- “think how stupid the average person is and then think half the population is more stupid than that” :-)

Not something I would agree with….naturally….

Probably because the loudness is directly proportional to the level of ignorance, and often clearly heard widely- if I had a mute button I would use it. Could someone sitting next to these muppets not ask them to wind the necks in? Peer pressure might be more effective- in their world upsetting the manager and/or players might be considered a proud achievement…
I totally know what you are saying but it's not always that easy is it. At the FGR game there were two blokes behind me calling Cards a Judas and then shortly after that discussing how much more comfortable the seats were going to be when we move to FF. Clueless.

From what I was told yesterday they're forwards were have only been notching up 7 km ish in games instead of 10 to 12 that would be expected. With no movement it's no wonder they can't score many.
Thought they're best player was our ex Tyler cordner who himself admits is quite out of shape for a talented 24 yr old. His experience and ball control was excellent. He could well get promoted to the league with a team (york) I don't think he's actually played for yet!
Yeah. For sure Ebbsfleet didn’t run enough. They also tried to play out from the back and lost the ball every time. I think the worst team I’ve seen us play in the league ever. Not being good enough is one thing, but not running enough is an insult to their supporters. Josh Wright maybe not the right person for that job given his playing style.

Maybe they’d just put a deposit down on one of the Rat’s new flats!

Leon Cort? Not sure I see it personally, Cort was talented and got his head on the end of everything but was pretty raw and something of a headless chicken, particularly on the ball. Golding is far more composed on the ball and in general.

FWIW Cort was with us in L2, so one level above.

@OldBlueLady what about Tamika Mkandawire as a comp?

I like it. He obviously cares deeply about the club and his players. That fire is an asset. It was Stan who banged on the table and said that’s a manager I want to play for and now we can see why.
Golding wont be paying at the level cort did anytime soon. If ever

The slide rule pass by Golding for Kendall to run onto in the first half was exquisite. Golding looked composed and assured throughout. Exuded confidence and left one wondering why we have been denied a glimpse of him for so long. Of course I accept that much sterner tests await. Let's hope we see him performing like that for many months to come, and in our shirt not another club's.

It was a great pass !
