Hopefully this will silence the people that claim our players aren't League 1 standard, we fully deserved the win today and showed what we are capable of when it clicks.

Mooney looked much more comfortable up front by himself (no disrespect to Cox who is clearly a good player but him and Mooney together, for whatever reason, doesn't work) and worked his socks off. The 5-4-1 on paper looks negative but it seemed to result in us keeping the ball in the middle for a change. Only negative I saw was that when we went 2-1 up we tried to park the bus and invited pressure on ourselves but fortunately O'Neill's goal killed them off.

A special mention for Oxley who looked a completely different keeper to the one we had a few weeks ago, possibly at fault for the goal (although wasn't helped by rubbish marking) but made some good stops including one in the second minute that could have made this a very different game.

Agree with most posts on here, it just goes to show what can be achieved if everyone puts in a shift, hope it happens more often.

Great performance today. Cocko didn't like the formation, thought it was too negative but when he visited the players in the dressing room before the game he asked them to give their all. The players did just that, for Cocko, not Brown.

So despite our tactics being perfect today you've attributed this victory to a man who you claim was against the formation from the start just because he asked them to try hard. You're really stretching there. I'm not Brown's biggest fan but give credit where it's due.

This actually makes no sense .... Because the formation was spot on actually, he picked the right players, from the ones available to take the game to Millwall ( something which PB has been criticised a lot for recently )... Also, the players should give their all regardless , to the fans and the Club ( ie those that pay their wages .... ) , it's called personal and professional pride ... However, I will not get drawn into negative spins, what I do like is the continued " we lose, Browns fault" and " we win, in spite of Brown .."

All 8's for me, apart from 9's for Mooney, McLaughlin and McGlashen. Also, I'd say 8.5's for White and Lenny

I'll probably have a few more views to add tomorrow, but for today that was a great game to watch, a great reaction from the crowd and we scored three goals. Sure there were a few bits and pieces that I may have changed but that would be churlish tonight. Me and her went home very happy cos we won. It was also great to shut up the marauding throngs of Millwall fans who thought all they had to do was turn up and win..........total muppets.

Your dislike of PB is well documented, but please enlighten us as to how you know this ?? And dont supply quotes from a friend of a friend who once played golf with Cockos cleaners neighbour.

Great result and glad to hear the players looked committed. I stayed away today, I was driving back from a wedding in Oxfordshire but was back by 1pm so could have gone but couldn't face another turgid home display. Serves me right.

A first home win in six months, a first on a Saturday since February 6th. It's great when it happens but it needs to happen much more often - my opinion on the manager does not change but credit where it's due. Delighted with the win, west ham lost and col ewe conceded a late equaliser - a great Saturday!

Some great performances out there today, but I thought McGlashan was incredible. The times he out sprinted a player and won the ball back. The times he out sprinted a player and was chopped down. He also kept coming back to help the defence, fantastic. O.K. he tired a bit, but what do you expect after the shift he put in.

Oh dear. That throws the debate wide open again.
Whilst one game certainly doesn't make a season, it's also fairly apparent that a certain manager hasn't lost the support of his players. Seems to me we're destined to win a few and lose a few, ending up somewhere in the lower middle.

And you know that how?

What is the point? Really? Best game, best performance and best result at the Hall for some time and you come on here and post THAT. What's wrong with you man?? You've clearly just made that up for reasons I don't know. If you really can't get behind Phil Brown and the team, at least enjoy the result rather than post ***** like that.

I am only passing on what I was told. I'm not the sort of person to make things up. I won't bother next time.

FWIW, I think it was a very good team performance. Oxley was a different player today, he came for everything and won pretty much everything, We attacked as a unit and defended as a unit.

McGlashan, McLaughlin and Mooney hassled constantly, the back four, guided by Barrett did a fab job marshalling Morrison. He spend all his time pushing, pulling or whining at the ref, who was rather weak. Their number 3 should have been sent off for the knee high tackle on McGlashan but only got a yellow. Then when the 3 pulled McGlashan down again, the ref ran over getting his card out and then bottled when he realised he had already booked the 3.

Mooney, well taken goal after good work on the left and a lovely run into the box from McGlashan, lovely strike from McLaughlin and our nerves were settled by O'Neil.

10/10 for everyone today

Not one player gave less than 100% - I was amazed and enjoyed the match just so much.

special word for Mooney though who was immense and played so well without the ball- he never stopped.

Well done PB, you got them firing and the crowd responded - heard the interview and sounds like Adam B told a few home truths that hit home after last week.

Glad to hear this, Mooney's been treated extremely unfairly for several months now.

Oh no the info that many have received is accurate, however if today isn't just a flash in the pan then maybe there has been some serious "air clearing" since Scunthorpe behind closed doors. If that's the case then great, if not then this result will only paper over the cracks temporarily. Hopefully the former. Great result today.

It certainly does. You're a very naughty Jai. Even the East Stand joined in with the singing and chanting today
