Post-Match Thread and Ratings Southend United 2-0 AFC Fylde

true - but I found it interesting that when our striker was charging thru bearing down on goal, Kev’s first thought was ‘pass’.

Im not trying to stir anything up here but it does - for me anyway - add fuel to the fire that Kev does like his negative tactics
@Yorkshire Blue put it better than I could. Why would playing a forward pass to somebody clean through on goal ever be seen as "negative"?

That's exactly the sort of comment that does stir things up, mate. It's a strange link to make, and feels like a bit of a twisting of reality to fit a viewpoint, which is definitely not normally you.

I think given he had options left and right and was 30 yards from goal, most of us thought 'pass'. I certainly did, but what a finish.

Yes, I thought it was a foul when I watched it live on the stream. The ref failed to give several other obvious could too.

Watching it live I did think that Walker was going all the way and would shoot. Bridge was unmarked to his left and was calling for the ball and he started to raise his arm in frustration when Josh shot rather than passed. That swiftly turned into celebration.
I'm not sure it was a foul but you certainly see fussy refs always give fouls. I like the way this ref tried to let the game go where he could

I think the whole stadium was thinking pass... The right thing to do was to pass as more often than not a shot there sails over the bar or ten foot wide.. but hindsight is marvellous isn't it and nobody moaned when it nestled beautifully in the corner
