If that was a horse race there would be a stewards enquiry, or even a look at strange betting patterns something was not right?

Having said that you have to give the player 10 out of 10 for 10 effort, problem was our midfield were frightened to tackle as they knew the ref would book or send them off.

Must say think young Jack Payne looks a wonderful prospect, injects real pace reminds me of a Jack Wiltshire

If the ref was heart surgeon he would never do another operation again ! Why do the league harbour and protect ***** like that!!

Worst refereeing at the hall in a very long time. And there are a lot of contenders. All I can give the officials tonight was 10/10 for consistent one sidedness! Awful.

Disappointed like everyone. Been to all the games, and daggers front 3/4 as a unit, are definitely the best our defence as come up against, IMO.so far.
Thought it was a straight red all day long, stupid, with White lucky not to follow him
Ref was poor
Great endeavour from that 10 players second half
looking forward to the next unbeaten run

Full marks for effort in the second half. Just didn't seem to get much luck. Game did seem overly one sided regards the decisions but Philips red was the right call and the ball definitely crossed the line for their goal, poor judgement from Bentley on that, would have done better to stay and let the forward try the shot at the angle in my opinion.
Daggers rode their luck though, couldn't kill us off, didn't come close after that, were pretty poor.
Woodrow man of the match seemed odd to me and I don't feel Corr going off was the right move, when it's obvious we're going to punt the ball forward in the last 10. The attack just before he went off only happened because he won the ball, it's his main strength.
I like the way we're playing atm though, quite a high attacking tempo, Payne looks a good player and we showed a lot of fight in that 2nd half.

I wasn't in the best position for the red card so I'll reserve judgment until I've seen it again.

Whats bugging me is the Lino giving that goal from where he was. There is no chance he could tell that all the ball crossed all of the line from there.

Great battling 2nd half deserved a point. It's difficult with a ref that gives you nothing though. Thought Keirnan for MOTM, and can't believe bringing Straker on ahead of Payne!

very interesting listening to Brown on the radio. everything in the interview was about the fact that the ref 'apparently' was going to give a yellow before he consulted the linesman . No actual defence from Phillips or anyone else that it wasn't a foul that deserved at least a yellow , Phillips told Brown his standing foot slipped.

ps I am in W block so a long way away, but from there it looked like Bentley was at fault for their goal - Smith would have been crucified. From those of you closer is that fair ??

pps yes the ref was crap- but White could have been sent off as well so it could have been worse

Great performance 2nd half, we looked we had the extra man and not Daggers.

Officials may have got the card right, I was too far away to see but thought he got the ball and they made a meal of it to be honest, but we got nothing from the officials all match, Coker was fouled outside the box carried on running and got fouled again inside the box and the ref pulled it back for the 1st foul !! F**king incredible decision, if he allowed us to play on then he should have awarded a pen, bottled it along with a host of other decisions.
If we play like that for the rest of the season we will win more than we lose.... refs permitting!!

I was in W block too and had a pillar blocking me a bit. I have read from a few people on Twitter that Bentley lost his footing as he started to come for it.

Not sure about man of the match, definitely a good player. He and Bentley should have done better for the goal though.
i am sure if it had been smith and Prosser there would be plenty of say from posters.
Midfield was just a little loose tonight, which allowed them to run at us to often.

Hurst was running the show until the ref killed the game. The 4-4-1 we played after was hugely ineffective and Leonard had a really shaky game at right back. The turning point was the introduction of Eastwood. Played with plenty of heart and galvanized the others. Good stuff again from Jack Payne who looks to have a really bright future but can't help but feel we'd have taken the 3 points if we had 11 men. Officials were dreadful, clearly thought we'd all paid and turned up to watch them!

Great effort and came away proud of the teams efforts. I can handle losing like that, well done to all the Blues players tonight.

Only grumble (aside from awful officials) was that I thought we could have dealt better with the goal, we had the early warning after a similar incident just three minutes into the game.

White looked more comfortable when moved to central defence and made some vital last ditch tackles late on, Hines was tearing him a new one early on though.

Agree on the Straker decision although I guess it was for his pace and making yards down the line...although he nearly cost us a second goal. Eastwood looked very impressive when he came on.

Kiernan MOTM for me.

Two questions I have, was it a red? Did it cross the line? Personally seeing them live I thought no and yes!!!

The referee and West Stand assistant were appalling all game. However from my position in East Blacks the ball was well over the line.

Im not saying it was in or wasn't in. I couldn't see from the W Block. But with Coker's entire body obstructing the lino's view there is no way he could be 100% sure that was in.

1st half. Should have made the most of the early pressure when Hurst was at his most effective. Didn't really test their keeper. White and Hines battle made us take the eye of the ball after that when the ref started giving freekicks to most of the fair challenges where their players ended up on the deck. Phillips s/o was a bit harsh. Definitely a yellow for badly timed and needless challenge. We then struggled to adjust with Leonard switching to RB. They upped the tempo a bit while we tried to adjust to the sending off. Bentley probably at fault for the goal. No idea from my position in the East if it crossed the line but not many of our players put up much of a protest to be honest.

2nd half. We played extremely well and their keeper made an excellent stop from a superb strike from Woodrow. However, I felt Eastwood should have come on at HT to mix it up a bit and when he finally came on he caused them problems. Desperately unlucky not to have got an equaliser but Atkinson skied over twice when in good positions. Leonard a bit wasteful in possession too. However, you certainly can't fault the effort of the lads but tonight it just wasn't to be.

I think today's match possibly makes up for their harsh sending off in the corresponding league match last year where their player dismissed in the first half was rescinded on appeal. We went on to win that game.

Very unlucky on the night, but no doubt the red card proved costly. Bentley slightly at fault for the goal, probably should have stayed on his line. Whether harsh or not Phillips tackle was niave. White also lucky to stay on the pitch after a succession of fouls after the yellow card. Overall performance was very positive despite the defeat and we must now go to Newport and get something. Don't want to start another losing run. Just two other points, why applaud Phillips for a poor challenge and red card, but boo the ref who had little choice but to send him off and why do people insist on clapping when the away fans attendance figures is given??
