It was noisy at the start of the game in the more northern end of the west. I always wonder how far the noise travels but it felt energetic and properly loud for a bit there. Shame to hear it was getting as far as i thought.

How do we get the noise to spread round the ground a bit more often? People used to talk about the 'Roots Hall Roar' and that surely couldn't have just come from one section of the ground?

Yep - I sit in the South Upper and if there's any more than 50 fans in the North they always sound considerably louder than any other stand.

Moncur and Bonne are easily good enough for EFL 1 and 2 in terms of ability, if you can inspire them to play at their best. George scored 23 goals in 97 appearances for us from a midfield position and created loads of chances for others with his undoubted ability. We sold him when Barnsley came knocking for an undisclosed fee but thought to be £500K. As I said before they both can be temperamental at times, but keep them happy build a team around them and they could get you into the playoffs.

I really hope that we don't try and do that.

I don't think Moncur and Bonne are the problem. It's more the fact that they're playing with 9 other players who don't possess anywhere near the natural ability they have.

Agreed on Moncur but I beg to differ on Bonne based upon his performances so far.

I disagree. Bridge put in at least 3 quality crosses on Saturday and the movement from Bonne was non existent. Walker also had two great chances.

I would hope so. Perhaps even early 2025.
