Orient going to the OS is absurd. Why they are even chasing it I dont know. It sounds to me more like a reason to stop West Ham going there than anything as they dont want West Ham to be even more attractive to locals.

Same issue for us of course as it will only attract more people from Southend unfortunately.

They've done studies, apparently, which indicate their already paltry support would fall away to non-league levels (and they'd subsequently end up as non-league club too) within 5 years if West Ham move up the road from them.

.

I'm not so sure.I paid 13 quid for a (concession) ticket to see us on Friday and 45 quid to see Fulham on Saturday.
Loads of people near me were Fulham Faithful (ie members).Very few people can afford a season ticket for a London Prem. club these days. Many (if not most) pick and choose their games and watch a lot of matches on the box.

Maybe Hearn wants to build on Brisbane Road..Kerching.

Very short term view that though.

You cant put a club with 5,000 supporters in stadium with 60,0000. I cant believe any Orient fan would want that.

How about our regular 5,000 or so supporters in a 22,000 seater stadium. Is it so very different? :winking:

Bit like FF though,Martin and Hearn want the big pay day and really the fans views don't enter the equation.

Don't be too quick to dismiss Cauley Woodrow.I notice Phil Brown hasn't.

FWIW,my hunch is, he'll come into his own in away games for us.

In any case he still has plenty of time to prove his worth.

People forget that for the early part of last season Tomlin couldn't buy a goal and looked poor. I DO think with a bit of luck, confidence, fit Hirst and Timlin with some service and back up from midfield then we will be OK.

Was he though? I thought the general consensus was that he was very lively and despite not looking confident in front of goal he still offered something.
