Southend to play West Ham - Tuesday August 3rd

The game i meant ive just checked and there was 8700 odd in attendance. Hardly a full house. Even the most recent game in 2007 there was 9500 odd. We regularly get that in the league now.

Im sure the 2700 tikets the hammers are getting will be more than enough.

They took their share + there were loads in the other stands too. Its what put me off going again as felt like sitting with the away fans even in the East Blacks.

To be honest they can have 10,000 tickets for all I care as long as we get the money....

Has anybody bought their ticket via the text ticket method and not received anything? It's going on 2 hours since ours were booked...........

I thought the east blues was purely complimentary seats? They never used to sell seasos in there.

I was only mentioning the play with my moniker... I'm of the East Red persusasion myself.

Same here... I've had it before where they're all sent out in a block just after 5pm. If you haven't received anything tomorrow, give them a call.

Same for me. Although I'm referring to the Stockport game. I purchased the mobile ticket at 10am and still nothing. Will give Matt Fletcher a call...

as far as i know their are only about 5 of us in their, great tho right next to the away fans, not tho their will be many in their this season.

Dont know why you dont give the west block blue voice a try you really are next to the away fans there with the possibility of moving into the north. Better atmosphere by a long long way

I did mine on the phone earlier today and got confirmation about 20 mins after through to my e-mail.

Surely this is the match to celebrate us winning against HMRC. Ron could come up smelling of roses, or he has banked on West Hams fans getting nasty, and burning the stadium down, thus claiming on the insurance, which he will no doubt take out just before the match :)

Definatley going to this one. Does anyone know if you can book your season ticket seat using the on-line ticketing system?? I'm pretty sure i got an email about 2 years ago saying we could but have never bothered since

While I'm pleased the club have arranged this game and will hopefully get some much needed cash in the coffers, I doubt if I'll go. If West Ham were playing in my garden I wouldn't draw the curtains towatch them, and as for the neanderthal, knuckle dragging scum that they call "supporters"....

Maybe this should be the game that all Southend fans boycott. Just hand over the ground to the once a season Hammers fans and double the price on everything, those muppets would pay anything to see their 'heroes' play.

Been down to get tickets today, none available as yet although they're accepting payment and you're given a receipt and have to collect on Monday or Tuesday. The cynic in me is saying is this just another ploy for last minute cash gathering before Monday?

Incidentally, the OS says tickets only to people on the official database. Now, whilst in there I saw a bloke in a West Ham shirt with two kids in a) a Barcelona and b) an England shirt also buying tickets, requesting them as near the dugouts as possible. I'm not going to be happy if there are loads of West Ham supporters in amongst the Blues faithful.

Oh, and all stands open! And I think the idea of Jack's to let them have the West while "we" have the East is rubbish! The East is damned uncomfortable. I'm also assuming the stupid card purchase system in the West will be waived for this game........?

I will not be there, went to previous 'Friendlies' with West Ham, I strongly object to sitting in my home area surrounded by their fans, in their colours, singing their songs. Had a huge row last time and swore to myself, I would never go to one of these games again.

There will be Kay, it's inevitable which for me is another reason not to go.

Was going down tomorrow to get tickets, will be bringing Blues and West Ham supporting friends including their daughter so no chance of trouble but reading no tickets available makes me worried what kind of impression this going to give, I can't take time off to collect the tickets on Monday or Tuesday, that's the whole point of me going down there tomorrow. Not good after the latest news on the season cards!!

Thats a real shame . I understand where you are coming from and respect your decision. Its just that the more people who take this view then the more likley we are to be outsung/outnumbered even . I feel quitely confident that in the Blue voice section there will be a complete lack of claret jerseys (god I hope so). Why not come over there just for the one match ?

Thats what they said 3 years ago, and they were still in every stand. When i spoke to the ticket office this afternoon, i asked if i could buy 10 tickets. The answer was 'yes'. Therefore other fans can do this so a fan buying in bulk can easily sell most of them to any west ham fan he knows. Appreciate this game is at short notice, but i fear it will be anything but 'friendly' in certain areas of the ground, which will be a shame. At the game 3 years ago i asked the fair haired 'top steward' in the west stand why they had let anyone into that area who were wearing west ham colours. His reply was 'its not a proper game, only a friendly!!!!!!'. Priceless.

3 years ago when we played them in our 'centenary' game, there were loads of their 'herberts' in the west stand at the back. The stewards opened the gates at pitchside just before kickoff so they could go and join their mates in the north bank. Had they not done this, then i'm sure right handers would have been flying about all over the place where the Blue voice congregate. Most of the spammers fans who walked down the terrace to move to the north bank were all around V and W block, not S or T block. I wonder why????.

I very rarely miss home friendlies but will give this one a miss. I attended the previous match against them and spent a most unenjoyable afternoon sitting near Spammer fans who were there in numbers in the East Stand arrogantly wearing their shirts in our "home" end. (Imagine them doing that at the New Den!)
Does anyone remember that awful stall selling West Ham trash in the piece of land near the Golden Lion?
I really don't want to spend a few hours just seething with anger. The only thing that would make me attend is if SUFC made a statement that anyone wearing West Ham colours would not be allowed in the East, South and West stands. (This should apply to league games also)

I'm sure every Blues fan would agree with you, but alas, theres more chance of it snowing tomorrow than that happening.
