To be honest I was pretty ambivalent about supporting a Phoenix club anyway but now I if we go bust I'd have no interest.

We'd be striving to get promoted into something run by the National League & I really feel their statement tonight could be the final nail so why would we want anything to do with them ever again.

If we were to start anew Southend is now a city and shold be recognised as such . SOUTHEND CITY FC. ( formerly known as Southend United FC ) go back to our original colours also .

Why would the city deserve a football club?

I know right now they are giving off a "we care about the club) mentality but the council have never fully backed us
