Looks like they carried over until tomorrow then. Surprising given how many were crying about when the terrace would go on sale.

Thanks for buying all the tickets, some needed money in our coffers. Remember to buy your beer in the club house or under the away stand to give us some more money!

Beer under the away, stand ??? Surely not. No, I mustn't. Hmmmmm.....oh, go on then !! :smiles:

Where's everyone drinking before? Barking Dog? There's a wetherspoons one stop away called Lord Denman

Why elsewhere? Never understand that. This is a small club with probably the best away facilities in the league, we know how the struggle for money is in L2 so why not go in early and drink in the ground?! Their food is also pretty good too and the earlier you get in, the better your chance of getting the best stuff before it sells out or you have to spend ages in queues!

As for the seating, been 3 times I think, the first was unreserved but it's been reserved ever since. Have a great time everyone, wish we were coming but funds just won't stretch to it at the moment

I was looking forward to another relaxed pint in their bar but now you have potentially just ruined that. Cheers.

So i have terrace tickets but want seats, is there somewhere on here where swaps are taking place?

I was in the same situation, but the opposite way round, if you get what I mean, a couple of years back. Hung around by the entrance to the terrace and managed to find four 'swopsies' in about five minutes.
I'm sure if you make it well known that you want to do a swop then you won't have a problem, I have a feeeling a fair few of the TBV boys will be looking for terrace tickets.:winking:

They normally have a couple of stewards checking tickets at the entrance to the terrace both before the game and at half time and they do enforce the 'no terrace ticket then no entry' rule pretty strictly, quite rightly, as they have to make sure they adhere to their ground occupancy licence.

Because not everyone wants to drink Carling out of plastic glasses. Much prefer to seek out some proper beer in a proper boozer.

Yeah thanks, i went on the terrace the first year we played there and seats every year since. My Mrs decided yesterday she wanted to go so i had to get terrace tickets 2 adults and 3 under 10s but would much prefer especially with the youngsters we were seated. I'll do what you suggest and hang around the terrace before hand, thanks.

IIRC, the Eastbrook looked very, very shut last year. Don't know if it was just having a refurb but I would check first.

The Eastbrook is alive and Kicking as i drink in there a couple of times a month.
By far better than drinking in the ground as O.B.L. says.
Good Beer Guide entry and Grade 2 listed pub.
Worth a visit just to see the beautiful pub inside the building not been touched since between the wars.
Before anyone says it Yes it has been cleaned.
Last time i was in there Ringwood Porter and Breakspear Oxford Gold was being served.
Drink in pubs rather than footie grounds. We dont want to lose another Dagenham Pub.
P.s. avoid The Lord Denman at all costs.

Pleased to hear that, Steve, I do prefer a proper pub over the modern 'plastic' ones any day of the week and, as you say, too many communities are losing their local boozers; the traditional London street corner pubs also seem to be a dying breed. Use them or lose them, folks.:winking:

It was just the impression I got as I passed the Eastbrook last year that it looked dark and shut up, only quickly glanced mind as I was in a hurry, glad I was wrong.

Reason we look elsewhere to have a drink is last time we went Dagenham every pub looked to be shut down, they wouldn't let us in the social Dagenham and Redbridge bar cos we have to big a following!
Plus as someone else said would rather a decent drink rather than plastic pints from under the stand

Would be good if there was a pub we'd all go to create an atmosphere before even hitting the ground

Club bars are pretty souless and generic, that'll be one reason and I'm sure there are plenty of other reasons too.
