Ticket News Sittingbourne FC H Isuzu FA Trophy - 1st February 2025 3pm

Yep, that's me. I can't stand the East for many reasons. The North (shared) as it is isn't much better, so I'll swerve it. If the West was open, or the North was home only, I would attend. Each to their own isn't it.

I do think that's a view shared by a sizeable amount of our fanbase too. It has been for as long as I can remember. But, the club seem set in their ways for these games and obviously it must be cost effective for them.

We used to do it for the LDV/Paint Pot games too IIRC.

Indeed. I personally think the planning for these games needs revisiting. Our fanbase and general appetite even for these games is far greater than it has been for decades, perhaps ever. It needs a rethink.

Yep, agree wholeheartedly. As always it will come down to the financials but I do wonder if we’re working from old projected figures/mindsets? Like you say, the appetite seems to be there currently.

At the very least, the fact that Sittingbourne supposedly want more tickets yet come 3pm Saturday we’ll have an half empty stadium, is baffling to me.

Tis always thus.
From somewhere a club with an average 300 has conjured 800.
Last season, Maidstone average gate, 2,200 took 4,500 to Ipswich, something approaching the same ratio.
It's interesting how these clubs generate a near 50% increase in fans for a big game.
Not to mention us when we went to the Paint pot trophy at Cardiff and Wembley.

Looks like we are offering more tickets to Sittingbourne if they agree to sell a certain number extra. No idea where they will put them maybe in the West Stand or the other half of the South Upper?

What a mess.

I also still not yet bought a ticket. With everything opening up will wait till Saturday to purchase tickets whatever is open. Am a Season ticket holder of many years in South Upper.
The Club are in a no one situation. Much more demand than anyone could have predicted

Haven't got my ticket yet.

Hate being in the east or the North.

If I do go (likely) I will go south upper but would much rather the club opened the west.

People saying it costs more to open the west over the south but surely it can't be that much more and with burgers and beers etc the potential is better to earn more in west?

Surely it's an advantage to pack as many in as possible, not just from a financial point of view, but create an intimidating atmosphere, win the game and progress in the competition. Do that and that just might have a bigger financial advantage for us?
