Ticket News Sittingbourne FC H Isuzu FA Trophy - 1st February 2025 3pm

Grabbed a ticket in the North, Block B last night. It’ll be my first time in the North since my very first Southend game (Palace in the league cup I think). Looking forward to it.

Is entry from Fairfax Drive?

Let’s be honest this a **** show by the club just awful, the west should have been opened a week ago, their missing out on many hundreds of fans buying tickets ffs get a grip.
really ??? so people (100s) wont go to a game because they cant sit in the stand the usually do - i thought people went to watch the team - you dont get any say where u sit at an away game whats the difference for a 1 off game ?

Absolutely those that go away no you dont get the best unlike Daggers that give the away the best stand.

Yes, this really is a factor. Don’t ever underestimate how important routine and habit is for many fans. It won’t stop me but I’m in the minority who goes to most games home or away. Away games aren’t a good comparison as most fans don’t go to away games (we can get 8000 at home but would take maybe 1500 away).

When fans are in two minds as to whether to attend and they see their usual seats aren’t available that is very much a factor in them deciding to give it a miss. It avoids having to worry about will the sun be in their eyes, where they’ll have to park if they’ve the other side of the ground, will they have an unobstructed view.

Closing off half the ground also gives the impression that the match doesn’t matter, that there won’t be any atmosphere, that it’ll be like watching a game through Covid.

That’s a real pity as this is a proper cup game with Sittingbourne bringing 800 for what will be one of the best away followings this season.

Yep, I am one not attending this weekend for that reason. If the West was open I'd likely attend.

I also don't attend some away games because of a crap view and facilities. Wealdstone, Dorking, Maidenhead are a few I will now avoid after visiting a couple of times, unless it's a pivotal game.

Anyhow this is going off topic. Point is people do pick and choose based on view/facilities, whether that be at RH or on the road.

Surely the club should just send a statement out saying we are not in north and whoever has tickets for north just goes in West! We are missing out on extra money if Sittingbourne actually want to bring down more!

Just heard the club will be selling souvenir West Stand Glasses. A set of free stickers come with each pair. They include little stanchions and a gantry ladder. The idea is you stick them over the lenses to obscure your view. Apparently it will encourage those West siders to stop sulking, see the bigger picture and actually buy a ticket
God knows how some will cope when refurbishment of the ground starts.

You going to do topless juggling on the pitch as the HT entertainment, Riggers? Might push some of us on the fencers over the purchasing precipice…

736 home tickets sold in the North Bank so far.
177 left but it wouldn't surprise me if when it gets to about 800 sold they stop sales.

Still no news if Sittingbourne will get extra tickets.
