Is anyone from the Trust actually going to answer TrueBlue's question ? I haven't seen such blatant question dodging since the last Scottish independence debate !

I can confirm nobody from the trust has attempted to contact me on this issue!

And this in itself is what I was getting at the tough questions need asking and the members and fans of SUFC deserve answers good or bad

I'm not involved in the Trust in any way and never have been other than being a life member but I think the stick they get on here is ridiculous. Ron Martin clearly doesn't want to come clean on the current situation and even Steve Kavanagh knows the score and wanted to tell the Trust he would probably be very quickly out of job if he did. What leverage does the Trust have over the club to force Ron's hand? None that I can see other than to stop sponsoring the Youth set-up.Not exactly a major bargaining chip - could even give Ron the excuse to scrap the youths.
If people want answers why don't they do something themselves instead of moaning away on here about the Trust?
The answer to that question is also part of the answer to the question as to why does Ron's ownership get away with so little real protest from supporters - which is that nearly all of us can't be bothered to do anything, we would rather come on here and have a go at each other.

I to would be very interested in knowing what plan B is

I can "exclusively" reveal that PLAN B is an Investment by THE KNIGHTS that like to say "NEE". They will put cash in as long as Ron brings them a "White Picket Fence". There is also a PLAN C. It involves someone called Baldrick and a Turnip!!!! :winking:

On that subject, wouldn't the £10,000 that was donated to the youth team, have been quite useful to the Plan B ? (whatever it is !). Couldn't the club have secured at least that amount from shirt sponsorship ? (assuming we didn't get anything from MD).

We all want the best for our football club and the Trust are in the best position to obtain some answers. I think people are confusing our constructive criticism of the Trust, with moaning.

I am a Trust member but have not heard anything of a Plan B; and I suspect Ron has not got a plan B nor has the Trust.
However my suggestion is that the active supporters of OUR CLUB need to have a plan that should Sainsburys and then RM not proceed the Council be pushed, forced, lobbied, canvassed, to help our club in the similar way to how they helped a rowing club of 27 members (4 with links to the council!) who got a £200 000+ donation for facilities.
With our 6000+ membership and also the benifits for the area ( rather than a club house just for members on 2 tree island) the council needs to step in and get the new ground built, the new shops and hotel and use the old Roots Hall for either housing or another needed SOuthend resource.
If Ron doesn't make a fortune so be it BUT things need to be done and this council must positively assist an important sector of the community.

Well this is just it, I have had an email from the trust mainly having a go at me for knocking the trust on SZ. They do not
Like public debate and never have since I was on the committee for years.

I would never question the commitment of the people on the trust, yet it's the same two people holding all the cards and all the power it feels like a closed shop.

They will never want to risk their relationship with the club which is not a bad thing but it's blinded them when it comes to making a stand, the youth money is a cash cow for the club simple things that a professional club should being paid for are not because the club physio or youth team manager has to come cap in hand! Is this how the club should be run? Again you can't question the ethics from the trust but I would damn well question the roles here!

So I get an email from trust telling me their statement answers everything!

How faceless how out of touch can you be!

And gives me ZERO confidence should the worst happen.

In closing, a thread that is trying to be constructive asking what is the plan, is met with a private email from the trust telling me that I should stop knocking the trust as they are ALWAYS without sin and apparently there is a plan in place but we are not allowed to know.

I await another email from the trust telling me how naughty I am and how dare
I question them that will be after they send a few emails between each other taking the mick

I'm afraid that's done it for me. They're making it a personal thing now. Why can't they just talk openly about their aims and objectives ? If there are things they'd rather not mention on a public forum and would rather only share with their members, that's understandable. Just say so.

Had enough now. Gonna start up SUISA II (the sequel). Anyone got £10k they can lend me ?

The problem is a couple of fans have no punching power and Im sure the meeting/request would be ignored. The trust are there to fight for the fans cause and should in my eyes have the punching power to demand, but like Scott said they do not wish to tarish there relationship with the club. For me Ron/club should fear the trust/fans

Also I get an email demanding I remove my post on SZ from the trust I fail to see the need for all the censorship
