Sankofa, a very weak link!

Why apologise? I don't have a problem with people not rating Sankofa, even though I don't agree. What I have a problem with is wiggy wetting himself with excitement because Sankofa has been taken off for tactical reasons and thinking that this proves his case.

True enough. People forget though that he is actually a centre back, which is why attacking from full back doesn't come naturally to him.

I feel that we need Sankofa when we are playing away from home and when the "bigger" teams come to the hall, he offers us stability in defense. He is not and by the looks of it will never be confident in an attacking role.

Today against Walsall he looked apprehensive about the amount of space in front of him when we were attacking and that if he moved too high up the pitch he would have been caught out if we lost the ball, for the most part of the first 45 Betsy was tending work inside leaving him a bit open. Francis has a fantastic ability to get up the pitch and put a decent ball in the box but is not nearly in the same league as Osei when it comes to defending.

This afternoons change was not about Osei's ability or lack thereof it was purely tactical in my view, as was the decision to replace Barney with Franno Ibhere was causing a nuisance at the back for us and Tilly rightly wanted to protect a clean sheet and not suffer the same fate as the other Essex mob when they got pegged back to a 2-2 draw from being 2 up.

For me today Tilly got the whole thing spot on and we should be looking to Osei to carry on the great work in defending our goal. For the first time in about 3 seasons we have a solid defense and are not reliant on the "We'll score one more than you" school of football.

In a game where we will largely be defending - he's perfect
In a game where we will be attacking - he's not what we need, play Franno instead

i would really like to know Norfolkshrimps views on Southend if wiggy is so wrong. Wiggy i think you talk sense. However in my opinion, Sankofa is solid but uncreative, whereas Moussa isnt solid and lacks conviction so play Francis ahead of Moussa.
