Got a No re London Marathon via ballot and charity place sadly
Also got a no in London Marathon my sixth unsuccessful attempt over the years and possibly my last although looking forward to getting my hoodie.
Rather harshly got my unsuccessful in the second ballot for LLHM in my inbox a few minutes later which was not great timing.

I think lots of charities have still got spaces, but obviously they “expect “ a certain amount raised.
Alzheimer’s was £2500

If you can afford it I think you've made the right move, I've in the last few weeks just had an injection in my back, I've been waiting over 5 years when you include physio and covid etc. completely ruined my fitness and health but started again this morning. Just got to try and be consistent. I wish you luck and I hope it doesn't cost you a small fortune. My knee is completely ****ed and I have put my hand in my pocket to go private rather than spend months/years in extreme pain.
Into the Spire Wellesley for about £800 so far but will get the results of an MRI on Thursday. Probably a few grand fir an operation if required.
Didn't even bother with the NHS, I would still be hobbling about a year from now.
Sometimes you have to spend money in the right place.
Over the last 4 months I've had 3 injections in a shoulder. I don't know how it started but when I did certain movements with my arm above my head I would get excruciating pain in my shoulder. The 3rd injection has completely cleared the problem. (The first 2 cured part of the problem, but it turns out the pain was due to 2 issues.)If you can afford it I think you've made the right move, I've in the last few weeks just had an injection in my back, I've been waiting over 5 years when you include physio and covid etc. completely ruined my fitness and health but started again this morning. I don't have private medical insurance - which company do you use?Over the last 4 months I've had 3 injections in a shoulder. Given the pressures on the NHS at the moment, my GP refused to refer me until I said I had health insurance. I'm not a big fan of private medicine and, in an ideal world, I wouldn't have it. But as a contractor I consider it a necessary evil, especially given my propensity to injury, as I need to be able to schedule any procedures between contracts, or at a time when workload is low (over Christmas, for example).
That has really helped as over the years I've had 2 elbow operations and was able to have them when it was convenient for me.
I must have worded it wrong, I waited for the NHS, being totally honest, because I couldn't afford to pay for it myself, I got seen at a private hospital in the end, in Epping, the Holly House but it was carried out under the NHS, I still may need surgery but my back has improved and I was pleased to do any sort of run this morning, my issue has always been consistency, motivating myself to go running on my own is tough but I used to run all the time I've just got out the habit of it nowadays.I don't have private medical insurance - which company do you use?
The injections definitely do help, I'm not back to full strength but I'm a lot better than I was and I'm hoping if I can shift some timber I might improve further. I don't have private medical insurance, never considered it until I've had these issues and now I don't think they'd cover me as it's an existing injury, or if they did it would cost a fortune. I would definitely recommend going private if you can, the NHS is really struggling at the moment.Over the last 4 months I've had 3 injections in a shoulder. What about a knee replacement?Knee MRI results in.
I have pretty much lost my cartilage on the inside of my right knee and have osteoarthritis.
I need physio build up the muscles to support the knee and have been advised not to run again
A bit **** for 50.
I was told this is still the best knee you will have. What about a knee replacement?
