Phil Brown looks genuinely over the moon.

Looks like Stevie doesn't he!

Happy with this signing, hope the lad can get his career back up to speed, now all we need is for Ranger to get back and another midfielder of either the holding or creative type , think either will come as loanees though.Nice work RM and PB, quality over quantity is the way to go.

why are you learning Tagalog, are you moving to Manila.

I have a Filipino maid so we have Filipino TV as well on cable. Wow wow win is a cult daily quiz show so I wanted to understand a lot more of the lingo

Apologies for that pathetic comment chaps I was very drunk at the time that was not needed. I have no issues towards the Scots and have no idea why I posted it. Anyway, great signing and hopefully will gain valuable experience from Ferdinand. I really do think we have a chance of promotion this season. Our squad is so much stronger.

Hello, Chaps. joined the forum to give a wee insight into Rob Kiernan as a Rangers supporter up here in Glasgow. Rob joined us in 2015 when we were in the lower leagues (well documented not going into it) and after finding his feet looked a fairly average CB that could cope reasonably well with Championship football against part-time teams. He did have a few howlers as I think playing in front of 50k fans nearly every week was a massive step up from anywhere he had been before, so he felt the pressure.
But that was all it was, pressure for playing for such a huge club. nobody booed him or was continually on his back. We were playing part-time teams of painters and decorators mind and yet you could see he couldn't cope.
He has now played for three managers (including an interim one) and has shown the same lack of positioning and ball judgement under them all. More so as we are now back in the Premier, he has really struggled against full-time pro's this season.
it's a shame it never worked out, what fan of a club wouldn't want it to.

so nothing about religion, sectarianism or anything else you guys appear to make up or think you know, but everything about his footballing ability which sadly was not good enough for the most successful team in the world and the biggest team in Scotland.

I hope he does well at your club as this might just be the right fit for him.

I haven't seen him play for you guys at all but what I don't get, if this is the case, is why did you extend his contract in this time if he was so inept and why did you not sell him to Fulham in January? Seems odd for a player who has shown lack of positioning and ball judgement at every level he has played for you?

To be honest if his positioning is his Achilles heel then I'm not too worried, Anton will make sure he is in the right position

There's nothing more tragic than people posting on other club's forums.

The last manager Mark Warburton was sacked because he was inept, he signed Kiernan and was the one who extended his contract (by only a year). Our new manager has signed Bruno Alves, the writing was on the wall after our new manager "found Kiernan out"

Fulham was all hot air, there was nothing on the table and only a rumour.

That's a bit harsh. I'm not buying the most successful club in the world stuff either, but the guys are giving us info on Kiernan.

Where rangers are looking to get to now is lowish English prem quality players in to compete with Celtic and Kiernan is not that. Hence this is a good move for all

Surprised by the animosity towards our friend from Rangers, anyone would think he was a Celtic fan.

Thanks for the info 'Gersinscotland' and good luck in the new season.

BTW: You should never have got rid of Bilel Moshni - he'd have been spectacular in an Old Firm derby !

cool, i'll not be long, just thought I'd give you an insight in RK

Thank you for the insight.

In his previous loan with us he looked quality so hopefully the issues he seemed to have showed whilst with Rangers were because of pressure of having 50k fans expecting success. (If we had been treated to 50+ titles we'd be expecting the same)

It sounds like his weaknesses are similar to that of Adam Thompson who alongside Anton Ferninand really kicked on and improved, so with any luck we get the best out of him rather than what Rangers have seen. Good luck for the season though, it's great for Scottish football if you can challenge alongside Celtic!

Thank you, sir, you are a gent.

Bilel Moshni was crazy, I mean proper crazy. He was very very unpredictable one minute fantastic the next woeful. He got himself in serious trouble at the end of a play off game for kicking and punching an opposition player

cheers and I think you have hit the nail on the head re big Rob.

I like to think C3Lt!( will be challenging us this season :winking:

again, "most successful" is different from "best". No other club in the world has had the same "success" as Rangers have (117 trophies). The "best" then becomes relative.

anyway I apologise for opening up a different debate when I was just giving you a Rangers fans insight into big Rob Kiernan. We all wish him well despite his failings at my club.

This seems to be a thing at shrimperzone, everyone goes off topic. Surprised their hasn't been any puns about Scotland or success yet!

Bilel obviously has a screw loose and you don't want that on your team, but that cowardly push in the back, he deserved that
