Just thinking about Harrys next of kin etc and just wondered whether the club refund season ticket money in such circumstances - does anyone know ?
Not huge in the scheme of things but it might help towards something and would be a nice gesture from the club.
Having said that I can also hear Harry saying "Forget it mate , they need it more than me !"

It is a nice gesture, but you're also right in that's exactly what H would say!

Can't believe it,i'm totally stunned, H was such a nice bloke who made my son and i feel like we had known him forever, like someone else said,a piece of Southend United died as well.

RIP Harry i tip my hat to a true gentlemen and a bloody nice geezer.

Gutted when i found out this morning, I just posted this on facebook -

RIP Malcolm Harry Roberts a great bloke, liked a beer, a curry and most importantly the mighty Shrimpers! Gutted.

Very sad news especially for his family and close friends. Didn't know him but enjoyed his posts. RIP fellow Shrimper.

Sat here with tears in my eyes ... I met Harry as a result of the 'Zone and I'd always arrange to see him when I could get up for home games over the last 3 years for a pre-match pint or three. He came down to Cornwall to watch the first week of the World Cup in 2010 with me and we had a great old time travelling out to pubs down here to watch the games. Can't quite get used to the idea that I'll never see him again ... thanks for some great times mate. I'll be downing a Spingo for you soon.

My best H moment (apart from the time he battled a very tough Judith Keppel on Eggheads) was the Chelsea FA Cup game a few seasons ago. A great big bear hug from the man when Peter Clarke nodded in that Johnny Herd throw.

Can't get my head around work today.

R.I.P Harry i never met you but i used to purposly look out for the 'we're gonna get spanked' every pre match thread.

Received the FB message as others did, but didn't see it till 11 o'clock. My reaction when I started to read it was just total disbelief and then sadness. I was fortunate enough to know Harry fairly well, even before Eggheads, the Sunday night quizzes that used to go on on here were a kind of "bonding exercise" out of which grew the Zone Eggheads team, and of course, Harry was the only one of us that actually had any success in the competition, on his favourite subject of Sport and saving the rest of us the embarrassment of totally ballsing up! We travelled to Scotland together for that, along with young Hutton, so plenty of time for Harry's stories.

I know everyone is going on about the "we're gonna get spanked" thing, but for me, Harry's witticisms and puns were something I always enjoyed. Often used to bump into Harry on his way into the ground as we walked round to the West, and would always stop for a chat. I gave him a lift home after the Trust Quiz a couple of Saturdays ago, and he was telling me then that his aunt had recently died which made him the oldest member of his family. He was genuinely one of life's good guys, and was so pleased to now be getting "Senior" rates at the club - it's a real shame he couldn't enjoy his bus pass for longer!

He's going to be a massive loss for the Zone, I feel sorry for those who never had the pleasure of meeting Harry, he was a genuinely lovely, considerate person and I'm grateful to have been able to call him "friend".

Sweet Dreams Harry, RIP.

Harry's witticisms and puns were something I always enjoyed. O

A particular line from H that has always stuck in my mind talking about Theakstons Old Peculiar on here "A great beer for when the bottom has fallen out of your world, although the next day the world will fall out of your bottom".
