Breaking News Released and retained players

I reckon Orient may approach Wabo and/or Ba. Let’s see.
Neither realy had the chance to show what they could do. Quite likely they will both be able to establish themselves elsewhere as both obviously had potential which for whatever reason we failed to bring to fruition. It will be interesting to see how things work out.

Can't see that happening, they are not up to league standard, just bench warmers in the National League Premier. Possible though for Chelmsford, Billericay, Braintree or Concord Rangers all in National League South next season.

Not surprising about Coker, but still sad. Thank you for the memories, a good player for us always gave 100%. Thank you for your efforts on the field as well as off it with the fans. You will be missed and will always be one of my favourite players.

Cheers Ben.

All the best to Coker, been a great player for us over the years but probably the right time to move on. I worked it out yesterday and he's missed roughly 50-60% of games over the past 2 years I think it was. A fresh start needed.

As others have done as well a special mention to Turner. Model pro for us and came in for some unfair criticism at times last season. Thanks for your efforts.

There's a player in Hendrie somewhere but that won't be happening with us. He always looks to be carrying some sort of injury to me (physically or mentally). Move back home will do him wonders IMO.

All the best to the others released as well.

Buzzin to see JohnDon offered a new deal. Captained us to Wembley, Captained us at Wembley, scored against Col U, scored a goal that helped us stay up and had to play on with a broken arm for 10-15 minutes as well! Hero!

Looking forward to seeing Sam Barrett next season now. Let the fun commence

Personally I’d have given Hendrie a contract offer and released White.

Not overly surprised by the released list.

I do think Wabo and Ba were over rated on here. Phil Brown and Chris Powell had different opinions of their ability. Unfortunately for both others progressed more quickly. Wish them well though.

Poor old Braintree maybe heading to National North!

You cant moan about the dross served up all season then moan that the dead wood is being cleared! KB needs the chance to put his own team together, he has good contacts and is experienced and successful enough to know the ingredients for a good team. If we gave Hendrie a 3 year deal people would be up in arms!

Can I report this post as being absolutely spot on???

See, I think this is the odd “age above all else” argument. Apart from being a fair bit younger and MAYBE having some decent potential to fulfil, what has Hendrie actually shown on the pitch in the last 2 seasons that suggests he should stay over White?

Nothing, IMO.

Spot on with the decisions I’d say.

Part of me is sorry to see Coker go because he’s been one of the best left backs I’ve seen at the club in my time supporting. But his attitude this season has put me off a bit. He turned down the 3-year contract and said he’d see his current one out......then only started making plays for a new one when he was injured. I feel like he’s a bit of a Billy Big Bollocks and I don’t think the bid for fame with his injury documentary has helped that. Who knows if he’ll be the same player when he eventually returns? I’m not even sure he was the same player after his broken leg. I think it’s the right time for him to move on.

Hendrie - as others have said, there’s a good player in there but this doesn’t seem to be the right environment for him.

Turner - thanks for your service, but I think Old Father Time has caught up now.

Smith - unfortunate with his injury but he needs first team football now at his age.

Others all the correct decisions too.

Bishop pushing on has probably seen Smith get released. With Seadon and others coming through, we are well blessed with keepers.

Decisive decisions which seem timely and correct, it’s just going to be about replacing with quality and getting the best out of the rest.
I like Coker but the decision makes sense. If he goes to Lincoln I will look forward to his return to the Hall with trepidation and happiness.

Hendrie over White...I’ve nearly fallen off my seat laughing I presume you are joking...
