I had to give an old friend a ring earlier who works at the club, take this how you will. I asked a few question but as you can axpect, she/he didn't want to really get involved.

Are we under an embargo - not that they're aware of unless it's being kept extremely quiet.

Finances - tight, but as you would expect a club to be in the lower lgs.

She/he went on to say the atmosphere at the club is toxic with one person (wouldn't give a name) making peoples lives unbearable, so expect people to leave

Yes, but the plot lines are getting a bit repetitive now. They keep rehashing the old embargo -- sack manager -- get new manager -- suffer relegation -- heartbreak story. Only difference this time is they managed to get a much loved old star turn to play a cameo.

If a few more results go our way do we need to rush into signings, it looks like at least two of the relegation slots are decided so we just need to finish above one more club to stay up.

Signing players mid season is a gamble, yes we'd all like new quality players in but we need to make sure the ones we get don't ruin our improving form

Guess a lot will depend on whether we can keep the Sheff Utd duo till the end of the season?.

I’d love to hear our Senior Football Strategist’s thoughts after that game. I’ll get slated for saying this, but we won’t hear from him because he’s received a little bit of criticism and people holding him accountable, and he’s run a mile from the fans he said he would be transparent with.

I simply refuse to believe that we are having a hard time finding players who are available and are better than some of this current bunch we have. Sadly, I have my suspicions that this is all to do with finances and stuff that we aren’t being told about.
