4 strikers - Fortune, Cox, Robinson and Ranger.

The rest will be released, I think. A shame for the Moon :moon: . Think he's a decent striker and a good club man, but spent too much of his time looking for a foul, instead of wanting to break the back of the net!

Bear in mind he may have been suspended and the cleared of whatever the alleged offence might have been.

I believe he admitted to taking MDMA & coke.

Let's hope this is the last negative story we hear about Ranger, and the rest is when he's firing us to Championship glory :winking:

You actually couldn't make this sort of stuff up! He's been slightly naughty, given a small 4 week ban and now he is back! However he wouldn't have been able to train with the squad so he's gunna have to be put thru his paces for the next week or ten days before he can be involved again, I'd say! The problem is the FA won't comment and id guess the club will remain very tight-lipped too.

Now before all this he seemed very well liked by the players, I just wonder if this is going to be the case now and how it could affect the squad. Could be a very devisive issue. Let's hope not.

IMO if the players were pro-Nile having known about his involvement in ripping off some woman , surely him taking recreational drugs ( if that's true ) would not unduly change their views.
My reasoning is that the first act can be viewed as shamelessly harming an innocent party whilst the second is just doing stupid harm to yourself.
Although his actions and subsequent ban do also impact directly in our push for promotion.
Anyway , I guess they will mostly just welcome him back.
Key for Brown is not to disturb what we have right now

well they could hardly be pro-Nile and at the same time be pro-Timlin who let's not forget actually went to jail. Or Inniss, who bottled someone.

I used to have an album of theirs - it was a cassette so that tells you how long ago that was. If I could be arsed I would see if any of their past tracks had names that would be applicable to this situation.

'Happiness' (is what I'm sure he's feeling), 'I would never' relates to a lot of old women on this thread. :winking:

Not sure it is quite that simple. Nile came to the club with a known history of problems so it easier to forgive him for something he did prior to joining the club.

No doubt has been telling his team-mates that he is a reformed character etc so his latest actions, whilst with the club, are going to be much harder for the players to take.

I am all for giving him one final chance but that's easy for me to say from the distance of my front room or office. I can also understand why those much closer to him could be feeling badly let down by him and not quite so forgiving.

I certainly don't think he should go straight back into the squad.

That's when he wasn't offside.

I get your point , but if say a good friend of yours came into work and admitted to you he had got drunk and took drugs at the weekend , would that change your view if him/her as a friend ?

Depends on the drug. If they crawled into a basement a shot up heroin and/or crack I'd give them a wide berth, but then again I'd do the same (and have) if someone got boozed up and beat the crap out of someone.

Recreational drugs hurt nobody. MDMA makes you dance like a loon with a great smile on your face and want to hug everyone. I know which clubs I rather be in.

Most of them will have closed down.

A generalised declaration I take it, MKS 'cos they can hurt anyone!

Maybe, but apart from the really nasty ones, they're actually safer and cause less harm than those you can buy over the bar or the counter at your local cornershop.
