Promotion and relegation 2019/20 season

if any of that were to be used, i think they need to look at a longer sample, so maybe 5 year period or 10 year period (maybe more) to get a better weighting (even then still a aguess as computers cant predict results)

would also need to take into account each teams home and away results etc as well as each team is different obviously

i would be quite shocked if L1 went any form of PPG route right now

The only sides wanting the season to be played in full, or brought to an end where they would benefit, are former 'large' clubs with visions of grandeur. You can put your mortgage on the fact that if they were down near the bottom, they would want the season voided.

i 100% do not disagree.

Any team at the bottom will want it voided, any team with a chance off promotion will want it played. If any form of PPG were to be used everyone would accept it if it benefitted them in some way, as many have said it is a no win situation.

io have been in meetings many days and it is like going in circles and re drawing the wheel.

Just as a caveat to that, it's sides who are not in the top two, or sides that won't benefit from a PPG scenario - and I don't blame them!
The EFL want an artificial ending that uses a shaky premise for final placings.
One that says 'if this' and 'if that'. Had Southend continued as they were they would have got X points type of thing.
To me, that's like saying had Hitler been assassinated in 1938, there would have been no second world war.
The truth is, we never got to find out.
There are at least 10 clubs with self interests (including us) - and getting an agreement is a hard ask.
For God's sake, just null and void the damn thing!

Culture Secretary due to lead the daily briefing. An announcement on sport perhaps? Or not..

Culture Secretary? More like Comedy Secretary. I cannot recall seeing such an insincere person presenting the briefing. His body language was that of someone just reading a script and not knowing why but just following the party line.

He's aged well since starring as wimpish Martin Henson in "Game on" with Amanda "Mandy" Wilkins ( Samantha Janus)

The clubs will not vote for playing the remaining fews games left, as the clubs simply cannot afford it especially they furloughed the players, like of Southend, Wimbledon, Accrington, Burton & many more.

I hope it’s end up with PPG as it’s will **** off Peterborough chairman off so I can laugh. But the clubs in top 6 won’t get an majority of votes either as teams from 11th to bottom will not vote for it.

Not sure where that info is from but from my perspective nothing has been decided on the options that may or may not be voted on. I wasnt in any meetings today, there were some but the feedback i got wa s there was nothing 100% conclusive

I say we vote to play the games. And then a date will be set to complete fixtures. The date won't be achievable and it only takes a few players to contract the virus and a team can refuse to play. The season will then be void.
If they go by the riles laid out (point to bare in mind is so far they haven’t) then you would need to have a lot more than a few players missing from your squad. If your squad was 20 without youth players would be nearer double figures.

Isn't the government/NHS guidelines that if anyone is found to have the virus, anyone they came into contact with have to self-isolate for a minimum of 7 days ? All of a sudden, a whole squad could have come into contact with the infected player ;)
