Players who have been 'forced out' of the club who we wouldn't mind having right now

Freedman has been a quality player in his time. If there is a prize for running around Revell would win, but my dog can round around a lot.

You just found Revell's perfect job! A dog-sitter.

The only person he made look like a mug was Tilson when he signed him. Good riddance to bad, disruptive rubbish.

Oooooh, Ant would be on your case if he still came on here! Honest, that first game at Stoke, we thought we'd landed on our feet with him!

Mark Bentley

Jamie Clapham (too short? too expensive more like!!) I'm sure he would have signed for us

Leon Clarke - great at our level

As for Hooper he had plenty of chances and never impressed.

Did he though? He must have started 15 games over an 18 month spell? When he was sold on, he was the same age is Johnny Herd is now - who most see as one for the future. Hooper was victim of people getting on his back too early, confidence taking a dip and not being given the chance to get it back. I can't help but think if he came through our youths he would have been given more time by the supporters.

Saying that, we did get about the same amount for Hooper as for Barney - so maybe you can't criticise tilly too much for this one - I for one didn't think he had as much potential as he's now showing.

And if he had put some effort in we might have signed him. How come when people leave they are remembered fondly? His last game was against Donny and even Tilly accused him of not trying.

Charles Ademeno (S'ton, MK Dons and SPL side sniffing around him)

Maher, Wayne Gray, Gower, Bentley, FLav's, Gary Hoper, Kightly, Garry Richards, Leon Clarke even Dean Morgan would be a better option than Scannell

Great shout this.

I looked back to some stuff posted on here from the Cheltenham game in August 2008 and others before that, all from a variety of Zoners:

Scannell. Started well 4 runs 4 crosses. Faded quickly after that and then got really bad in the second half. 4/10

Subs:
Ademeno Got the ball down and ran at defenders. Did more in the short time he was on than scannel or Betsy. If weve got this bloke, why is Scannel playing? 6/10

From Telford game:
Quote:
Subs
Ademeno- 6, looked lively, why didnt he start on the left???
Quote:
Subs Ademeno 7 - Looked lively and seemed to be the spark that got the rest of the team going a bit.
Quote:
Ademeno 7: Just like when he came on against Cheltenham in the League Cup he was a breath of fresh air amongst dross.
Quote:
Ademeno - 7 - Did what Scannell should have done.
Quote:
Ademeno - 7 - Look very very good when he came on, his end product wasn't all that but he seemed like he wanted to show his worth and show Tilly that he should be given more of a chance. I hope this is the start of something because he has been waiting long enough.

.....boring i know but Spencer Prior said that Hooper would be better than Eastwood so why didn't Tilson see it, i know i did!

Richie bloody Foran!? We'd have to be in the Senior League before I'd even contemplate wanting him back.

Players...?

Foran suffered from being played out of position
Walker is a similar situation
Gower was not appreciated until we realised exactly what we had lost
Revell was not and is not Division One quality
Hooper needed time but was frustrating as hell
Paynter never looked the part
Gray still don't understand why he left
Richards looked class and my God we could do with him now
Freedman is playing out the last dregs of his career
Harrold see Revs

Of the current side.....most are under performing.....

You could say Walker and Freedman are in the current side but I thought by their performances on Saturday that part of them had already left the club!!

I'll start with 'ONE KEVIN MAHER' - seems like ages ago we were discussing the first game at the new stadium being his testimonial - wonder what's happened to that.

Oh and maybe BILLLLEEEEEE Paynter ?

Duncan Jupp

Che Wilson

WTF?

This is 2010 not 2006.

Duncan Jupp is struggling to get games for Bognor Regis, Kevin Maher is struggling in a team who is somehow below us in the table and I'm not even sure if Che Wilson can still run backwards.

If only Sawyer had stayed on when he originally came here. He was in some great form, and I'm sure things would have gone smoother.

However right now I'd like to see some belief come back.

Eric Steele and Richard Young were forced out, and a ****ing good job too. They were absolute ****..

Also, I hope we don't ever get any ginger, bald, gay or short players.
F***ing freaks.

Kind Regards

Amen to that.

Plus Wayne Gray, if we'd kept the core of the title winning squad in the Championship well......

IMO Tilly's biggest mistake was breaking up the League winning side and only offering them short term contracts as opposed to better, longer contracts for some pretty cr*p newcomers. He should have kept faith and kept the 'roll' going.
HOWEVER Peterborough did just that and are now saying that they should have broken the side up and bought in 'better' players. Not an exact science is it really?!

Indeed. Players that knew each others game inside out. The amount of money we could have saved or just spent on a quality forward to take the place of Goater eh? We could have scraped survival and then built from there and MAYBE be in the same position as Swansea and Forest rather then battling for survival in a lower league with the likes of Stockport & Wycombe.
