My wife works with Noel Whelans brother Paul in Media Advertising... he's a bit older than noel and a bit bald! nice guy though by all accounts and he lives in Billericay area!

Not really the same but I didn't know that Barry Corr had been living opposite me for a year until I saw him and Bilel on christmas day whilst I was walking in to my house.

Also worked with Leicestershire's current wicket keeper until a few months ago whilst he was earning some cash in the winter months before leaving for barbados for pre-season training.

I live in the same cul de sac less than 200 yards along from poor Gary Parkinson who played 6 or so times on loan for us as Dean Austins replacement in the early 90's. Only knew him on nodding terms though before his stroke.
Also, Brian Barry-Murphy who we had on loan about about 8/9 years ago and currently with Rochdale tried to kop off with my youngest daughter on a night out in Bolton about 5/6 months ago.

Oh if we are talking about players then my wife lived next door to Mervyn Cawston in Wakering and Blair Sturrock lives up the end of my road apparently, although Ive never seen him.

Mervyn's son was in our class at school. His sister/Mervyn's daughter was a bit of a flirt.

so many cures out there to be found - this is 1!

AGREED ... it sickens me how this country can find the money to fight wars, bail out Third World countries and give billions to Europe yet folks like Cancer Research and Mind have to go cap in hand to the general public for much needed funding
