Breaking News Players not paid for January **Sky Sports News**

Its not just that - what about Freddy's money? The Man U game? Cup finals, play-offs, The Chelse....

Mind, did you know Peter Clarke cost us over £1m in his time here? Bet you didnt, it rarely gets mentioned either.

:D

What happened to the new scoreboard?!

This embargo didnt stop Vernon. Baldwin or Watt signing though?

Unless a new embargo has been applied following court hearing ?

An embargo comes into affect once some event occurs, just because say 2 days ago we signed a player does not mean since midnight we are now not in one.

I am sure more learned people than myself can provide the events that can trigger an embargo.

Missed VAT repayments trigger a League embargo, but apparently not a missed PAYE repayment...

But to be fair, that's like saying, (not just to you but to many others) will you acknowledge the absolute **** storm we are in? Or will you continue to smile happily and think everything is kosher?

Also I can honestly say i mean no disrespect and i'm not trying to get a rise out of you, and if you wish to look at things and remain positive, then fair play to you. Wiggy, myself and many others just cannot do it anymore

I'm definitely not, and I suspect nor is anyone else, smiling happily and thinking everything is kosher.
To be served with winding-up orders on a regular basis, to have been under a transfer embargo and to have paid players late has, in spite of anything the club has said, made me extremely worried.
I agree it is very hard to remain positive and I understand why some people can't though sometimes hearing the same concerns aired time and again without any solution on the horizon only makes things feel even worse.
Where I differ from you is your view that Wiggy can no longer remain positive. Wiggy has never been positive as far as I'm aware and has been consistently abusive on here of most of our players for many years. Which is why I found it a bit much for Wiggy to start expressing concern for the players.

Winding up petitions can sometimes depending on how nice your bank is, trigger an account suspension.. i.e no money in or out.

I was commenting about the Football League's rules that would trigger a transfer embargo.

I can tell you, on impeccable authority, that the players have not been paid for January. This is now two weeks late and they have been told by accounts that they have no idea if they will be paid next month either.

Ummmm want to elaborate on the "impeccable authority"? it could be Ron Martin himself for ll we know, and everyone knows how honest and truthful he is.

That's not bad for a first post! Don't bother to introduce yourself.............. ...................you're Macca and I claim my five pounds......before OBL does.

Your surname is Phillips and I claim my £5.

I cannot currently reveal my contact as he has not given me permission to comment on here. I am not a Ron lacky. If I were, I wouldn't be telling you about the pay situation. Ron has been lying to the press and everyone else.

That you for acknowledging my first post. I am a Shrimpers fan, a teacher, who lives in Nottingham and tries to get to as many games as possible each season.

Enough is enough Ron, lies and ******** have shown you up for what you are, now effecting the loyal people that work for you, time to run along and mess up someone else's future!

I hope you are only referring to the backroom staff.

There isn't any loyalty in football anymore. The only players who stay are the ones who aren't good enough to earn a few bob more at another club, unless of course they are seeing out their contract, so their agent can get them a free move elsewhere.

Wonder if the Trust will be asked to help out this time ??? Whilst on the subject has the 50-60k that they lent to Ron/SUFC before Xmas been paid back yet as it was only meant to be a short term loan and I heard it was due to be paid back by now ??

Don't suppose either of the above questions will be answered unless Ron slips it into his next blog

It seems the £60,000 was used to pay the PFA for the cash they had advanced to the club to pay wages. This statement alone should tell you that the loan has not been repaid. In fact The 'Trust' (who i no longer trust) has still not issued a full statement concerning the loan (they may be embarressed). The loan will not be repaid for the foreseeable future, Ron is spending the Barney money on pizza's and washing machines i hear, so it won't be repaid from that.

I doubt they have enough left in the bank to help out!!!!!

OK SSN news reported this from a source, (who are the news of the world on tv) Is it true? Who are their sources? A tweet or an FB status? This is nothing new, we have been hearing this since November 2009. Not saying its right but conveinently breaking for SKY.

As it appears to be every month we hear the same thing perhaps SSN could play the same report on a monthly loop to save production costs --- if it is actually true.
