The fact that they might be?
And that is precisely why this country is going to the dogs. No person has the right to act in that way, we are all equal and should treat each other accordingly, with respect. Tells me a lot about you as a person if you really believe that to be the case.

Moussa arrogant ?????? absolute rubbish - he was a 18/19 yar old kid who first thought that the Mooooooooooooose chant was cos he was unpopular -

rememeber how much he enjoyed the winning goal at Col U ....

played on the left with a great attitude and lets face it we did not have anyone else who could =

scored some quality goals and was capable of a winning a game -

terrible comments about a fine young man who wore the Southend shirt with great pride - appearances ??? goals ????

why are you saying this cr@p ????

This is odd, because everybody I've spoken to has said that Franck was actually a pretty shy, retiring guy with a fair confidence in his own ability. You don't get to be a professional footballer without self confidence, let alone one playing in the Championship and self confidence from a young player will always be misread by the occasional person who, perhaps, is a little jealous.

As Pubey says, if the Moussa/Maher incident was indeed true, surely it speaks volumes that Tilson was prepared to bomb the club stalwart, captain and lynchpin in favour of a young midfielder straight from the centre of excellence? Not that this has to say anything about Moussa's talent, he's doing that for himself at the moment.

Oh FFS! Moussa wanted out from way back last season, he had no allegiance to the club, he was not a product of our youth system but Anderlecht's, and is someone we picked up on the way from West Ham. I have this on first hand authority from someone who had regular dealings with him so it is not based on what I "think" or "believe" and I am equally sure that he didn't come to the club as an arrogant 16 year old but that this is what developed over time. It is time we remembered Moussa as a gifted young man who was part of our set up for a while and who benefitted from the expertise of a lot of people around him. The fact he is doing well is a reflection on just how well those around him have helped.

Completely agree Rayleigh boy. I think OBL is on her own on this one.

I am referring to arrogance on the football pitch, attacking players need an arrogant streak to their play (Rooney, ronaldo, drogba, Messi, bale)... The arrogance to ignore a pass and to drive on and shoot. Moussa was a class act for us and it's great to see him doing well. Why can't people be happy about that, rather than admit they were wrong?

Because Pubey, as you well know, football and this board is all a matter of opinions. In my opinion Moussa was never the craven image some of you made him out to be. If he ever manages to convince me otherwise then I'll be happy to admit I was wrong....I wasn't over Gary Hooper or Billy Paynter as it goes.

Ok, well I guess time will tell.

No, more a case of getting him to realise that he needed to learn his place, something he never did as he found it quite impossible to stay out on the wing and instead drifted continuously into the middle therefore exposing a succession of left backs. Moussa wasn't fit to lace Maher's boots and that whole debacle should have signalled his leaving the club rather than the other way around.

He had to come inside to cover for central midfielders who went missing.

His job was never to hug the touchline but was to be the 3rd central midfielder when necessary.

His alleged arrogance was probably justified seeing how he's probably doing the best out of last years players. All good players have an arrogant streak. Football isn't a popularity contest.

What do you mean probably?

He's just about the only one playing first team football (with apologies to Damien Scannell's physio) and he's playing it a division higher, whilst those a division below waste away in the reserves/the pub.

And that is precisely why this country is going to the dogs. No person has the right to act in that way, we are all equal and should treat each other accordingly, with respect. Tells me a lot about you as a person if you really believe that to be the case.

The reason the country is going to the dogs is more likely that everyone has to be treated equally. Would you, using that logic, give equal weighting to an idiot's opinion over that of an informed, reasoned opinion?

Or would you politely ignore them?

Whilst others may have been more lauded in some quarters, Moussa was one of a handful of players over the last 5+years who was clearly a cut above: Gower, Eastwood, Prior, Bailey and Moussa. Other than the retired Spinner (who was prior (excuse the pun) to joining us) they are all now championship regulars. That's no coincidence. I feel sorry for those who couldn't appreciate their talents when they were with us.

Ah, Yorkie Blue, another Francky Moussa groupie!!! Yeah, like I trust your judgement.......what were you saying about Zaabouub???!!!:hilarious:

Moussa obviously had something about him when he was here, maybe he didn't show consistently enough. Looks like he started well at Leicester, good luck to him!

If we're going to judge everybody on the basis of reserve performances, then Spencer would've been slung out months ago.

Championship

Moussa starts
Mildy on bench

League One
McCormack unused sub for Charlton but Francis starts (and they leak goals again),
Christophe unused sub for Oldham against So'ton (but former loanee Mvoto starts and Barnard comes on for Saints)
Scannell is fit for a change and scores for Daggers

League Two
No sign of Barrett at Lincoln yet (oops, unused sub for Palace), but Tilly fails to drop that ****ing donkey Broughton and so Lincoln unsurprisingly fail to score.

Not technically released in the summer as he was only on loan, but Vernon scored twice for Aberdeen and is outscoring Gary Hooper up in Scotland.

To be fair to Hooper, he has been injured most of the season and scored two on his last outing. Looking forward to seeing him bag another brace against Rangers tomorrow.

Is Mildenhall at the highest placed team in the English leagues? That's outrageous if so!

Well there's one of them! Six goals in six starts now for Hooper88.

JFC and Laurent playing in France

Not sure if this has been mentioned.

Some how I came across some website about French football and spotted Francis Laurent's name. On further investigation I discovered JFC and Laurent play for AFC Compiègne in the "Championnat de France amateur" league, which is the equivalent to division 4 in the French league.

http://www.afc-compiegne.net/cfa/transferts

AFC Compiègne are currently in 15th place out of 17 teams.

These two layabouts have obviously found their correct level :winking:
