Bit of a nightmare mid week play off game in Manchester, going to be difficult for many people to get there, me included. Can't remember such a big game so far away mid week!

Can’t see any good reason why the National League have made them midweek either.

They should have just done both sets of play off games over the weekends of the 10th and 11th and 17th and 18th. But that would be far too sensible and considerate towards the fans, something the National League are clearly incapable of.

That's the downside of finishing 7th, if we do. Had we picked up just a few more points we wouldn't have been having this discussion. I do agree though, it's rubbish scheduling on the part of the NL. And, in the unlikely event of the Heed winning, we won't give a toss.

Yes I thought that. Absolutely no reason at all to have weeknight games with free weekends just going begging in between!

Don't wish to be a party pooper, but we do have to get past Gateshead next. It's not a foregone conclusion. We've been so inconsistent this season, no one else worried?
Nope.
THe last 4yrs i was worried. Now i'm on top of the world baby, you know we'll gatecrash the playoffs.
Their playmaker in midfield, he'll be tied up in knots by Coker whilst Keenan will run through his legs. And with the amount of fans supporting Southend, it'll feel like a home game. I cant remembee the last time we had the opportunity to take 4 thousand, White Hart Lane maybe?

Did you get a bang on the head Saturday?

Yes indeed! Whilst the last two performances have been great, there is the niggling little worry at the back of my mind that we have a Braintree or Solihull Moors performance in our locker. More positively, the last two results will have given us confidence and belief and quite honestly, as Swiss Tony said, I didn't expect to be in this position. I'm not quite sure how I'll be Monday week...........in cricketing terms, it's rather like a free hit. If we score a boundary....GREAT!!!.......if we miss out.....meahh! Incidently, I trust the team won't approach it with the same philosophy!
Look, even if we pass Gateshead we then are likely to face another tough game 'up north.' Get through that and I'll start pinching myself that Wembley is really only one game away. I hope that I don't appear negative. I am overjoyed to be in this position as the season closes and as with Swiss Tony, I'm going to buckle myself in and enjoy the ride.................for as long as it lasts.

Doncaster away in the play off semi was a night game. Sadly that didn’t go too well but this time will be a different outcome!
