I will never forget that gamePlease don’t remind me of that Grimsby match. The buggers ran on the pitch and the ref bottled it and blew for FT too early.

Ah, I never heard that. Makes sense though. Although perhaps soccer should be pronounced sosher?Yes of course, silly of me to forget. I suppose the word soccer was derived from 'Association Football', a term that distinguished it from Rugby Football, the sport of gentlemen!
No it's not. It usually leads to a derailment.Always good when a nearby tram loses points.
No they have taken 8 from the last possible 30.A win Tuesday against a Boston side who lost 4-1 yesterday and rochdale lose to York and we will be in the play off positions. Rochdale obviously have games in hand but have to win them.
Gateshead look shot to bits. They've taken like 2 points out of the last 30!
Altrincham have suspensions and key players injured.
A real test of credentials will be this week against a team fighting for their lives and against a team who want a top 4 finish.
The irony here is that we lost, not two, but three of our best players from our starting line up. Even with handicap we are still chasing down Gateshead. No they have taken 8 from the last possible 30.
The reason Gateheads been so bad is because they lost two of the best players from the starting line up, the main goal scorer and their best midfielder. Silly decision tbh.
And more recently, 1 out of possible 18.No they have taken 8 from the last possible 30.

Loanee recall wasnt it?And more recently, 1 out of possible 18.
I don’t know the details but with an average gate of 1,190 perhaps they needed to cash in while they could?
@blues exile It is, 'cos I'd always thought of Soccer as an Americanism. But somewhere on SZ there is a picture of a large advertising hoarding between the East Stand and the big old South Bank advertising 'soccer' coverage in the Southend Standard (if memory serves me).Interesting how the use of language changes and evolves. Back in the 50s I always had the annual 'Boy's Book of Soccer' as a Christmas present and it was a British annual of course. I don't think the Americans had ever heard of it back then.
Funny what that does to a team. Specially when your star centre back also kills his career.. hence our abysmal form early in the season. No they have taken 8 from the last possible 30.

Have you got this week's lottery numbers mate?Today's requirements in priority order:
1. Shrimpers must beat Eastleigh.
2. Tamworth must not lose at Gateshead, and preferably win.
3. Barnet must defeat Altrincham.
4. Oldham and Halifax must draw.
5. Must take my cat to the vet.
That went well, except the vet said my cat Molly has a broken bone in one of her back paws - a broken metatarsal would you believe. She will now be renamed Molly Beckham.
That looks as though it does not include the 10 point deduction? After 38 games last season we were 7th with 60 points. So we were 4 points better off last season. Not including the 10 point deduction of course.

This makes more sense and from what I remember, that we came from much further behind. So after 38 games last year we were 8 points adrift, as we would have had 50 points, and Altrincham would of been in 7th place with 58.That looks as though it does not include the 10 point deduction?
17 wins = 51 points and 9 draws = 9 points. Total 60 points. Minus 10 = 50 points.
We gained 15 points from our last 8 games finishing on 65 points.
15 points from our last 8 games this season would give us 71 points. Enough for the 7th place? Perhaps....
