Planned Protest/ Boycott of the Ipswich Town Pre-Season Game

Not going to lie to you; this is the ********* idea ever.

Just stop now with these flaggy "peaceful protests", these will get us nowhere and by the looks of it you're going to be the only one who turns up dressed in your kit and flags and singing "positive songs"

What we really need is something to get the club's attention i.e. pitch invasion.

Why on Earth would singing positive songs and not going into the ground be beneficial for us? This is such a crap idea.

Nail. On. Head.

I would like to know how a pitch invasion is going to make a difference?
Because if we get not just 2 fans; but all the fans to do it then it will draw attention to us and is what we need.

Look at it from my point of view. 20 fans standing outside the club shop waving a couple of flags for 45 minutes is not going to do anything. And it's barely a "protest" if it's positive.

or

if you want a "peacefull" protest/ silence protest how about we just cover the front gates in scaffs, old tops, flowers etc with RIP SUFC over it that way it doesnt need any planing people just turn up and leave when ever they free.

we all go too the Ipswich game pay the money "to help the club" (or pay for Rons Health care treatment) but rather then watch the game we all face to back wall (not fun but sends a strong point across)

We need to get organised. We need to sort out a name for the group and an organising committee. Firstly we need sort out a meeting place for the committee. Before we can do that though we need to have a meeting to decide when and where to have the meeting to decide who is one the committee and the name of the group.

I propose we call it "The Popular Peoples Protest Group of Southend"

I disagree it should be called "The Peoples Popular Protest Group for Southend"

You're missing the words "Front and Judea"

Mc Nasty or Cricko can you just blank out the first bit, so people dont think its still happening, but we need to get something sorted this cant continue

1. Our managers apparently walked
2. We have not even 11 signed players
3. Our physio has left :(
4. Ron Martin has sexually assualted some bird ;) (Allegedly)
5 And we have no money

If Ron gets wind of any planned protest or direct action in numbers, all he has to do is cancel the game before Ipswich get on the coach to travel down the A12. It’s currently planned but Ron is not obliged to fulfil any friendly fixtures.

You’re much better off demanding public clarification from your council that the covenant on Roots Hall would be carried over to a continuation of the town’s football club (e.g. AFC Southend) in the event that Ron was to let the existing club fold.

Or protesting outside Sainsbury’s HQ, for them to rescue you, it worked for the Palace fans. Protests at matches can always be dismissed under crowd disturbances, and largely ignored.
