Planned Protest/ Boycott of the Ipswich Town Pre-Season Game

You are so unbelievably naive. Flags and "oooh happy clappy fun no swearing protests" aren't going to get Ron Martin to come out of his office, give you a pat on the head and say "you know what I will get the stadium built straight away, well done Jack".

It's not like that. Flags and peaceful protests aren't the answer to everything and even though you're being enthusiastic you are in a way being totally ignorant of the situation and by gathering 12 fans to hold hands and stand in a circle singing "positive songs" isn't going to work.

Out of interest your alternative idea is?

You need to make a huge banner put it in the West Stand so that prick can read them and take the hint. Plenty of room on the North Bank, I'm sure the stuards wouldn't give a ****.

Jack, as our leader... why no contact the Trust offer them a seat at the protest and they will probably be interested, they may even throw you a few grand (more bigger flags!!).

fair play to you planing another Protest I respect you for that.
But look where the last one got us? If Ron don't pull his finger out it's a downwards spiral...

John, even tho i agree with what you say about Jack being up for doing something but a protest to show support and how we love the club, if we didnt love the club we wouldnt go watch or buy a shirt or a car sticker, aint protest ment to be about soemthing people aint happy about in this case Ron Martin, people just need to get together and call for his head again (and hope he dont come out and people shout **** at him) or turn our backs to the field of play in total silence rather then waving flags and sing we love you southend

Agreed I do not think that a happy clappy protest will work at all, but then again I am not sure what will as RM owns the lot.

You won't need a club to support if you do a pitch invasion. They won't let you back into Roots Hall for years. A very sensible alternative and not at all crap.

I'm not knocking his ethusiasm I'm just saying that by buying flags and being positive isn't going to change the situation we're in because at the end of the day the club aren't going to give a toss
