The reason for the protest is to get ron to give jack the money for his flag,at the protest there will be jelly and ice cream and we will not go to bed before ten.

Ok, so my idea seems to have been ruined by a kid.

I suggest, 6:30-6:45 PM, roots hall car park meet. I also suggest people dress in black, as a mourning tradition. I am trying to organise a wreath, which can be placed on the gates to roots hall and i suggest we all hold posters up for a wanted person at the club.. Up to you - i see this as the highest impact type of protest which creates the right atmosphere which the media would be interested in.

I also suggest people do what they like, and express their dissatisfaction anyway they wish (within the law)

People should listen to this man more. I quite like the idea

From an observer's view, and not wearing a ShrimperZone hat (for once), the problem stems from what sort of protest is required. Judging by various posts by both long-established and newbie members the options seem to be :-

a) A peaceful protest up the High Street / Up the road outside Martin's house --- not a bad idea but little impact.

b) A protest outside the ground before a friendly --- low profile unless obstruction and the same level of verbal abuse as the last meet in the car park.

c) A letter/ dog poo/ firebomb etc through the man's letter-box at home --- not nice and certainly not recommended.

d) J's latest idea of a wreath ( surely a coffin would have a lot more impact ? ) and posters for Friday night, along with any other lawful protest.

It shows what a wonderfully diverse lot of supporters we have, ranging from the people who feel strongly enough to get off their bums to show the world we care right through to the boys who feel that anything - even death and destruction as an option- is the way to get their message across.

It all goes to make it difficult to know which road to take.

Hit him at home and at work,posters,e-mails,phone calls,all legal stuff but make his life hell,dont be fobbed off its time to get rid and let him make his money else where.
I really enjoy not being close to or involed in my local club(berrichonne) as i just go shout at the players and go home,but southend utd has become a joke and the jokes not funny anymore.

this is my second and last post in this thread. all i can say that its very sad when it comes to where we are, a bunch of moaning old women on a website moaning every single day about ron, players etc etc. when it comes to actually doing something or at least gathering ideas to do something everyone doesn't want to do it. i am not saying a protest is the best way to go but what else can we do.

lets be honest no one can be arsed. theres the same old people on here who will do what they can then theres the usual ones who give everyone flack for whatever they can. i just do not get it i really really don't. i guess all you can say is sit back and watch everything happen. no wonder sufc is a laughing stock. we've done nothing to stop nothing.

Just a thought, does anyone have shares in Sainsburys? The AGM is on 14 July and "our" shareholder could ask questions about Sainsburys involvement in Southend. Perhaps a protest outside the AGM might get a bit more notice and would certainly pixx off Ron.
