Pets

It's that time of year (for me anyway) now that the weather is getting better, I'm up and down more times than a whore's drawers letting the pooch into the garden. It drives me nuts gggggrrrrrrr

In and out all the time...

We are looking for a new dog at the moment. Will be a rescue, but just trying to find the right one. Anyone got any recommendations where to get one?

Interesting to see @Mad Cyril's dog's shaved bits. Maurice had the area under his neck shaved for his blood test. As time goes by our furry fat fella is losing weight at a rate of knots.

Still a pretty boy though. Hello Maurice 👋

Sadly, my eldest staffy (Zeberdee, who was featured in the opening post of this thread) passed away over Easter. Poor old boy was 2-months short of his 16th birthday. As strong and stubborn as ever he fought to the bitter end, but sadly, time is something that can’t be fought against for long.

Still love this thread, and is possibly/probably the best thread I’ve ever created in my 14-year tenure.

Love seeing peoples animals and how much we all care for them.

So sorry to hear about Zeberdee, always a difficult time when losing a furry friend. As you say, a great thread and thank you for starting it.

Maurice is a handsome boy and his fur still looking good which is often what suffers in older cats.

Thanks, it’s always hard to lose a pet, but he was like my baby.

The only consolation is, I know I gave him the best life he could have possibly wished for.

Here in HK 3 cats. Back in the UK 6 cats, 2 dogs (down from 3), 2 horses plus another two we are providing livery for. Two frogs, 5 chicken oh and a big group of wild rabbits on the bottom field. We did have a big pond full of koi and goldfish (and a sturgeon which finally kicked the bucket). That went last year to make way for a new patio. Saved a fortune on running costs!
