LUTON Town are expected to cut short Bim Pepple's loan spell at Southend United



Pepple joined the Shrimpers on a season long loan from Luton Town back in August and has since scored 11 goals in 23 games.

However, Pepple's loan included a call back clause which could be triggered in the first 10 days of January.

And the 22-year-old is now believed to be leaving Blues.

I agree its short sighted by them but I dont agree with him not being good enough for L2 as I dont actually think it is much better than the NL. All of the promoted teams in recent seasons have either walked through it or are currently in the top half of L2. He definitely isnt going enough at this point for L1 which is definitely a big step up.

Such terrible news. Absolutely gutted. Personally surprised Luton aren’t letting him flourish here but there you go. Hope he has a fantastic career and I wish him all the best!

In our situation we probably had no option but to accept the recall clause

I did that when I saw the god awful football we play. Bim is a creator of many of his own goals, our other strikers need the chances created and we just don't have the players and/or style of football that makes this happen!

That is really awful news. Fantastic but more importantly, fantastic person. They don't come around often. Huge loss!

Moncur and Pepple all leaving in the same week with no one added isn't a good week for us at all.

One hopes COSU have something lined up as we kept getting told to wait an be patient for January.

I wonder if there’s a chance that he won’t be loaned out at all. Two of their five strikers (including Cauley Woodrow) have got 0 in 13 and bearing in mind how his confidence must be I wonder if they are thinking he might be worth having on the bench.
