Yes but the announcer is ALWAYS or always should be pro active and be a fan.

100% agree
He is our announcer and he should be very clearly be biased in our favour .
I want the opposition to go home saying that our announcer is a xxxxxxx, not the home fans !

Agree he is poor. One thing that does annoy me is his poor pronunciation of players names, particuarly opposition players. Now I know the guy at Northampton was terrible re this but our guy could at least do some prep, especially for some of the more exotic surnames. It just looks very amateurish, like he has only looked at the team sheet for the first time.

Id gladly see True Blue give it a go, as long as he keeps his top on :winking:

Our announcer has never been a fan -- if he had he wouldn't have called out Kevin Mayher quite recently.

I also hate the way he reads out the half time/latest scores. He gabbles out a list of teams and their scores with barely a gap in between so it's virtually impossible to work out who's playing who and therefore who's winning or losing especially with the echo of our PA system.

Our matchday announcer is also a degen gambler, and can regualrly be found shouting his arse off at the Blackjack tables in the Mint Casino!!

I think the FL try to encourage impartiality from the announcer, I seem to recall one of the previous announcers having to stop his "come on you Blues" when he announced the crowd with 10 minutes to go
