One Day - Week 1

Bugger!!!

And that's the end of the match. Crompton CC won by 7 wickets.
Gambero C.C. 326-5
Crompton CC 327-3

It seems the FC took too much out of my bowlers. Saying that he does have 97k rated opener and all the other 4 batsmen are above 35k and he did drop down from Series II. :(

My league is just strange. Dream Frequency, who came 2nd last year, has a squad of 23, left his best 2 players out today and they lost by 10 wickets! Going to be interesting too see how people play things and be interesting to find out if he rested them and is concentrating on FC games. Personally i think you can play both sides of the game at a good level and not concentrate on just one ...

Looks like my PFL have taken a battering. All my bowlers are on invigorated, with McIntosh, who is due for 3 nets on Monday on lively. My opponent in first class has pretty much all of his squad on sublime after losing by an innings in two days and then an easy win today.

I'm going to try and rest as many of my players as possible in the cup on Sunday and probably drop McIntosh's fielding net.

A nice short game today has left my fitness in good shape. Easy cup game so main players can rest further. Home FC game next week so obviously would be nice to stretch it to three days.

Got a mail from my opponent today, basically he's half-quitting, selling all his players to stockpile cash and is then going to log in evey so often in case his interest raises again.

Makes my job a hell of a lot easier this season!

I won, Beat the team who came 3rd last year.a their place. Great result.

Changed my batting order slight to ease PFL.

Raised my number 3 up to opener and he repaid me by getting 181 off of 151. He was only out in the 2nd to last over.

Got them out for 170. Means I'm above Muse on NRR. he dispatched the best team in the league from last season with ease. Looks like Muse has an excellent chance of winning the league this year.

GFI in this game worked brilliant, winning by 115 runs. For the first time in ages the batsmen performed, with us making 320-4, before bowling them out for 205. Delighted with the win, will definitely be looking for promotion in the OD and safety in FC now.
