You don’t have to watch it, it is only commentary no pictures!I won’t be watching this for the same reason Germans don’t watch The Great Escape on Christmas Day.
Why the **** would anyone want to do that? You don’t have to watch it, it is only commentary no pictures!
Some people unfortunately for them are blind ( I should not need to add anymore) also the Youtube Channel is called Football-Radio they cater for football commentaries. Why the **** would anyone want to do that?
Mine came this morningAnyone had their Programme delivered from Curtis Sport yet? Ordered mine last Wednesday.
Are all blind people masochists? Why would you want to relive that, and from the point of view of the opposition? Some people unfortunately for them are blind ( I should not need to add anymore) also the Youtube Channel is called Football-Radio they cater for football commentaries.
I thought it was a foul at the time. Goodliffe went down hard in a heap from the challenge from Norwood leaving him clear on goal.Question for you. Just saw the pitchside angle of Norwood's equaliser and I'm trying not to be completely biased. Is there as case that it was a foul on Goodliffe? Or was it powderpuff defending/savvy attacking play? The more I look at it, the more I see Goodliffe 100% tracking the ball in flight whilst Norwood takes a look at the ball, takes a look at Goodliffe and gives him a little arm in the back mid-jump... Totally irrelevant now I know, but is this another thing on top of everything else that should be irritating me?!
Good forward play. Wish we had someone with the nous to do the sameQuestion for you. Just saw the pitchside angle of Norwood's equaliser and I'm trying not to be completely biased. Mine not here eitherNo, I'm still waiting.
Not everyone can make every game. Some have Saturday work commitments, others insufficient funds for a season ticket or live too far away (as seen by the incredible stories of those flying in from around the world for last Sunday's game). Let's welcome all 29,000 who travelled to Wembley. We'll need all of them when we reach the Premier League. Haha.Agreed. Hopefully this upcoming membership scheme gives the 25,000 "I would have a season ticket but..." attendees at Wembley a chance to put more money in the club next season and help the club increase the playing budget.
Sandy's friend in the 1960s 'Round the Horne' BBC radio comedy shows. (Very non-PC these days, though.)Who is Julian?
That's nice. The most proud I've been was when we clinched promotion to the second tier at Bury and then at Swansea. When we won League One at home to Bristol City. And when Derby were taking the **** after we beat them 4-3 on the last day of the season and a few of us gave them a ****ing good hiding on Pier Hill. Teams should fear coming to RH, in more ways than one.Im sick of reading various stories of our fans embarrassing the club. For once, I feel proud of every aspect of the Southend United.
We went to Wembley and we weren't outplayed, we just got unlucky during crucial moments.
We weren't out thought, we just ran out of steam.
We weren't out sung. The fans support was incredible throughout the match.
For the most part we weren't embarrassed by the behaviour of the fans. (There is always a small amount of every fanbase that take it too far)
Most proud I've been to be a Southend fan in a very long time.
I Got my programme! arrived in the post today, hopefully yours is in the post too.Mine not here either![]()
Yes sorry I think I replied to the wrong post!Oh dear...my always suspect sense of humour failed to register...Unlike some i have trust in km's ability and experience knowing that perfection is unachievable and given the circumstances he has to work in and the players he has at his disposal he does San outstanding job... the original post was in jest!
We'll miss you, David.... It was good to spend some time with you during the day.Not the result we all wanted but what a day. So proud of this team. Not a day for recriminations but a day to acknowledge that our players and management gave everything out there. We are a club that refused to die and we have players who didn’t give up. The football gods can be so cruel and defeat is hard to take but congratulations to Oldham on their success. I have supported Southend United all my life, mostly from the West Stand but as a season ticket holder in South Upper for the last 22 years. From next season it will be away games mostly for me as my wife and I are moving to Hampshire. I have loved being part of the South Upper community from my seat in the front row and my thanks to those around me who have become my football friends. You know who you are.
And next season? Automatic promotion. Come on you mighty Shrimpers!
I empathise with this too. The view from the seats when everyone remains seated was great. In the singing section, as far as I could see, there were periods when the majority were standing, and that was pretty much to be expected. Not in the same league as @Ricey's awful experience (post #190) with some of our own supporters, but my view of the match was blocked for extended periods by people in the rows in front of me insisting on standing.
I'm in my 76th year of life. I have arthritic hips, knees and spine and cannot stand in the same place for more than a few minutes at a time without the pain becoming extremely uncomfortable. The two teenage lads in front of me very politely sat down when I asked them to but then they couldn't see because the people in front of them were standing up. Luckily, my seat was next to an aisle so I was able to lean out and see about three quarters of the pitch and I managed to stand for short periods.
The designers of the new Wembley Stadium cleverly made it possible for everyone to be able to see the whole playing area from a seated position, so why do some people inconsiderately insist on standing and blocking the view of the people behind them? At most of the away matches I attend, I manage to move to a different seat if people standing in front of me block my view but that wasn’t a possibility yesterday.
Moan over.
I empathise with this too. The view from the seats when everyone remains seated was great. In the singing section, as far as I could see, there were periods when the majority were standing, and that was pretty much to be expected.
But around where my son and I were sitting, there were groups of enthusiastic people who insisted on standing at regular intervals, ostensibly to encourage the crowd around them to sing, but with no thought as to ages and infirmities of people behind them. We had a group of four guys in front of us, who were up and down like yoyos, and it was very frustrating. I watched the match back on DAZN, and realised I had missed some fairly significant moments when we were attacking the goal at the east end (ie the two second halves). I did not see how close Walker came to scoring, or Bonne's follow-up ending up with him slipping, as these four jumped to their feet as soon as Walker went down the wing, and I was very conscious of the group of older men behind me, who did not look as though they could stand.
Admittedly, on the basis of "if you can't beat them, join them", virtually everyone was standing in the last five minutes, as we willed our lads to score an equaliser, but sadly, it was not to be.
Even more more disappointing, as soon as the final whistle went, they disappeared, possibly to get the next beer in, without staying to applaud the team, which was the least they deserved.
It does make me glad of my seat in the front row of the South Upper. Which I will occupy optimistically next season. There are good signs here.
Stay in their seat. It's not that difficult. Maybe when you're an arthritic 75-year-old, have supported the club for nearly 60 years, and know this might be the last big game you'll ever see your team play, you'll understand why some of us "moan" about not being able to see the action on the pitch because someone lacks the self-control and consideration for others to keep his backside on his seat. Jump up when we score by all means - I might even still manage that myself if I could see the build-up to the goal and the ball flying into the net!I understand your point about standing, but moan-ing (does the zone have an autocorrect on that word) that people stood up when a player is running towards goal down the wing is a joke... What do you expect them to do?
