I've never understood what all the fookin' bollox is with Christmas anyway. Once the big Christmas dinner blowout has finished ORM's Christmas is over. The whole thing is bollox.

Give me a good old pre-Victorian Christmas free of christmas cards, excessive present giving (and expectation of excessive christmas receiving) and bullsh!t.

If ORM had his way Christmas would be scrapped. An entire waste of what could be a very productive day.

To be fair to Ted Heath he was the PM who signed the treaty that took us in to the Common Market/EEC. Not EC or EU.

However it was the government of Harold Wilson (which was voted out in 1970) that agreed the terms and conditions of our entry in 1972.

However the Heath government did bugger all about the conditions of entry.

I had my first Christmas Day of 2005 last Sunday with Mrs WS's family in the UK. The wrinklies got a bit confused, me thinks. Kept asking everyone what they were doing for Monday thinking it was Boxing Day. Got some prezzies but they were pretty sh!te so I didn't let them threaten the baggage allowance and left them in the UK. I'm a ungrateful ******* ...
