I'm white and was christened as a baby. So far this week I have received Christmas cards from members of my staff at work who are neither, but I haven't given out any.
This is not because I fear offending them (quite the opposite in fact - I have to reign in their enthusiasm for decorations, presents and parties at times) but because I'm a typical bloke who always leaves such things to the last minute. I have posted (quite tongue in cheek I may add) a few 'Bah Humbug' posts in December's past and am not the biggest fan of the season but when the day comes I enjoy it for what it provides....some time off from the treadmill of work and the opportunity to spend quality time with friends and family. The Hindu ladies I work with do exactly the same thing - the only people bothered by this are sad Guardian reading PC muppets and jumped up facist idiots. As someone has already so rightly pointed out, let's ship 'em out to a deserted island and let them sort it out between them and let the rest of us normal citizens get on with living our lives.
