Noel Hunt: Why I chose to join Southend United

Dam..... I was just trying to convince myself, they all said the same about Hooper... I said no, but Tilly kicked him out.

I could be wrong but I think he's like a Lge 2 level striker. He is currently our third striker out of necessity as opposed to want.

I have just seen him week in week out, I feel full time with the right coaching and chances he will shine.

there is stuff he does our players do not, holding the ball up, backing in and turning..

So, all the thing that Noel Hunt does.

Dan Holman scored 5 goals in 26 Conference games last year. That's **** poor.

mmmm Noel Hunt at 25 was not that great as well, 8 goals in 3 years back then is Scotland.....get a grip......please.....is that a good comparison...

Your comparing a season nearly 8 years ago to now. You tell me if that is a good comparison. If you think Dan Holman is the type of player we should sign then you clearly want us to be relegated.

I couldn't care less how many goals Hunt has scored in his entire career. He starts from scratch on Saturday.

Im sure a few months in The Roslin with "the clan" will get him up to speed:ken::ken::ken::ken::ken::ken:

You are in danger of overloading the word 'boring'. About time for a new pet moan?

Yes of course !

I think he is a vanity signing or something more sinister, will he start on Saturday?Hmmm I wonder.

You are fickle mrsb. There was me thinking 100% meant no conditions (apart from not scoring, getting injured, losing form, having a H in his name, and hair transplants obviously).

I just think it stinks.

We have a depleted squad yet Noel probably won't start let alone last 90 minutes,In fact Hunt has only completed just 2 full games in the past 2 years.

This season we will need every selected player pulling up trees,no place for sick notes .

Good that you care mrsb, but all could change on the squad numbers stakes before Saturday. So deep breath and wait and see. I know there is an optimist in you somewhere:smiles:

Actually that's not what was said about Hooper. Everyone said he was brilliant, especially in training, but for some reason he couldn't transfer that to the pitch at Southend. It was therefore better for him to leave.

The theory was that his dad got too involved, and it wasn't a surprise that the further he got away the better he got, although that might also have something to do with maturing.

agree.... And who knows who we will have in goal...

Bull.... He never got a good run of games from the start, lots of time as a late sub......

You two should get a room, hopefully one with a strong lock and no internet, give us all some peace until such time as Hunt proves to be a good signing or the poor signing that you both want him to be so you can shout from the rooftops just how right you both were, not withstanding if you are "correct" it would deteremental to the club that you both supposedly support !
