My gut feeling is nobody will be signing anything until tomorrow due to budgetary reasons (our new budget kicks in on August 1st). However I'm not an expert on these things and as it falls on a Saturday, perhaps it won't be until Monday?

Now let's not jump too quickly to conclusions here, all that was reported was that we had booked in a medical for today - no-one knows what time the medical was booked in for! :winking:

For all we know it could all be done and all that's left to do is finalise the paperwork and sign the contract. I still remain confident that we're going to be hearing some news on this either tonight or tomorrow.

Why are you so obsessed with his age he's 32 not 42 theres lots of players playing at a higher level who are 4 or 5 years older than he is. Its not like the 70's when players smoked 40 fags a day and by 32 their lungs were shot modern sportsman look after themselves and are much fitter.

Reality check. We are a League One club. We can only afford veteran strikers on the wrong side of 30 with experience in higher leagues, younger unproven players, or sideways moves for players with some record at our level.

Out of the strikers we've been linked to, Noel Hunt is definitely the one I am most happy with...
