New hattrick season

Good start for me. Won 3-2 on a PIC against the 3rd(?) best team in the division.

Was 2-1 down at half time so was a little worried.

I won 5-2 against the team who nearly always mirrors my results, so all good, finished 5th past 3 seasons, hoping to finish 3 rd this year.

My first match in Level IV was a 5-2 win which was nice as I was playing an inadequate keeper as my E-T one is still recovering from a +4. +2 for an IM but that should heal by next Sunday.

Now need to pick myself up another IM as I'll have much harder games than this one.

Drew 2-2 away to the team that got relegated - that's an OK start for me with 215 hatstats and 57.5 stars I'm top of the Altid charts as well. Promotion is my aim for the season so it's looking good. 44th toughest league of 256

Won 7-1 away against the team I pipped to 4th place last season, a result which I'm stunned by! My div has a bot, which means I should be good enough for the top 6 this season; however, one of the sides who auto-promoted from Level V is unbelievably good (they have an excellent midfield!).

That's nothing. The team who were promoted up to my division last season managed a brilliant (very high) against me, first game of last season. I was at home

In the away game they got magnificent midfield and managed a titanic in their cup run.

They finished second in my division.

My division was the 11th highest hatstats average last season in England.

Liking the new training system, 6 passing pops this week including these two:

Delfino Armanet
TSI = 49 600 , 24 years and 72 days, passable form
Has inadequate experience and weak leadership abilities [Unpredictable]
Stamina: excellent Keeper: disastrous
Playmaking: solid Passing: solid
Winger: titanic Defending: wretched
Scoring: poor Set pieces: poor

Rob Pihllius
TSI = 36 140 , 24 years and 43 days, passable form
Has inadequate experience and weak leadership abilities
Stamina: excellent Keeper: disastrous
Playmaking: solid Passing: formidable
Winger: world class Defending: wretched
Scoring: weak Set pieces: poor

Time to sell and let a PM trainer finish them off.

£1.6m in the bank, should net a fair amount from these two. One of my original YP's has been listed, a titanic IM with inadequate wing. Tempted for old times sake!

26, listed for £1.07m. Better and younger players available but according to the manager he is +8 PM and +7 passing (weak).

I'd noticed my opponent had managed to sell 13 players in order to fund his stadium enlargement. I therefore expected him to suffer a big team spirit loss (and his coach only has poor leadership) and had PIC accordingly, but I didn't expect him to forget to change his line-up.

A potentially tricky away game turns into a nice 5-0 walkover.

Very pleased here, lost midfield and hatstats but walked away with a 3-0 away win. Lost my new IM/Winger to a +2 and another IM sent off but overall very happy! Going to be a pretty poor team for the cup game but hopefully we can make it through.

The cull has started!

After losing 5-3 away and selling my best striker, I have listed another 6 players already and hope to net about £5m if i'm lucky. This will go with the £3.5m in the bank and could be followed by my midfield which should raise about £5m on their own. I will then decide what to do with all the money!

How do people afford the wages that must go with a side like that...?

Shows how much people value passing at, Pihlius is currently at £1.6m to Armanet's £1.37m - two levels of passing against 2 levels of wing + specialty.

According to alltid his wages are £256,085 (42nd in IV) compared to my £171,980 (245th), your £184,176 (195th) and MrB's £182,403 (205th).

He got 69,072 attendance for his last game, instead of my 60,132. He also managed a handy cup run last year (which probably cost him promotion).

Around £2m apiece, lovely. £3.4m to spend, another wing trainee and a 3rd English IM to get then the team should be complete.

Almost completed my team rebuild for Level IV.

GK - Extra-Terrestrial
WB - Outstanding (Excellent Wing)
WB - Brilliant (Passable Wing)
CB - Supernatural
IM - Extra Terrestrial
IM - Titanic
IM - Titanic (Excellent Wing)
WN - Outstanding (Magnificent PM)
WN - Formidable (Excellent PM)
CF - Extra Terrestrial
CF - Magnificent (Formidable Wing)

A glaring hole at wing there but I have £1.8m in the bank to rectify it, just waiting for the right player to come along.

How does that compare with other IV teams? I've made a decent start but have only played fellow promotees thus far.

Spent the last few seasons with:

Gk - Excellent (yes i know!)
WB - Magnificent (passable wing)
WB - Magnificent (passable wing)
CD - World Class
IM - Titanic (solid passing)
IM - Titanic ( passable passing)
IM - Titanic ( Passable passing)
OW - Magical (not much else)
OW - Brilliant ( formidable PM + solid passing)
CF - Brilliant ( passable passing)
CF - Titanaic (solid passing + passable wing)

Only the midfield left to sell now, everyone else gone! Though now have nearly £8m in the bank so looking to have between £11-12m after the final few.

My team is

GK - brilliant
WB - supernatural (formidable wing)
WB - supernatural (formidable wing)
CD - Supernatural (with you've guessed it, formidable wing)
IM - titanic
IM - titanic
IM - magnificent (dropped from WC on Monday) with utopian set pieces and solid passing
OW - world class (with magnificent PM and solid defending)
OW - brilliant (with world class PM and passable defending)
CF - titanic (with excellent passing)
CF - supernatural (with excellent wing, as of tonight!)

Not sure I like this Level IV lark, round 5 of the cup and I'm still away! 10-0, 7-2, 7-0 and 7-0 so far, the days of low scoring matches with defence training seem so long ago.
