SUFC: The Future New 2024/25 kit - sponsored by c2c rail - officially released and available from club shop

The deal with Macron for replica shirts has been nothing short of unprofessional. I've asked for this to be discussed at the liason meeting and whoever goes on to represent the fans on the advisory board should also push this subject forward before another deal is negotiated or considered.

Of course design is always going to be a matter of personal taste but there are two things they need to sort to get their house in order with. Availability and sizing.

There simply is never enough supply available. Having just one strip available in the shop in a small supply of one size, really isn't delivering value for business.

Fans should get able to go in and see all 3 shirts displayed. To be constantly told several more weeks and wait months into the season (last heard mid November for home shirts) loses the excitement appeal of 'the new shirt', with fans no longer wishing to purchase. This is losing the club profits. It's also not fair on the shop assistants to feel the brunt of fans frustration when constantly being pushed back on availability dates.

The other issue is sizing. How can they get this so wrong? It's ridiculous that fans have to ask other fans what size the shirts come up in. It's a complete lottery and large, XL, XL2, should not be completely different from standard expectation. Of course, one size difference may be reasonable, but 2-3 sizes difference can also see the club have excess shirts left over from what they expected from order.

Not apposed to further deals with Macron as I personally like most of the shirts, but they need to sort these year on year issues as they are surely not delivering expectation of contract or adding to the fan experience.

Added to your point on sizing, perhaps this is out of our clubs realm. But the bigger clubs produce a match shirt and a stadium shirt.

The Match shirt is tight and player spec whereas the stadium shirt is everyone's standard size.

Maybe we can't do it but the whole having no idea what size you are is ridiculous.

Fully agree @Target man and we are still suffering from the Rat legacy as what company in all of 2024 uptil the take over would have invested in us?
And I hope they can increase the range of merch too.
Bring back the gnomes!

Hmm...would have thought when negotiating the deal a requested size guide was not beyond the realm of the buyer? One appears on just about all reputable clothes sellers online.
While here does anyone know which shirt might fit 45-47ins chest size, please?

You're lucky to be worrying about the chest size, it's the stomach size for those of us of a certain age. lol.

It’s been there all the time. They are never going to change their global sizing due to Southend. The chest measurements are pretty accurate but I have a problem that if you have a 45 inch chest they assume you are 6 foot 3-5 inches

Many thanks!

I must admit I’ve tried before before to get myself and my oldest a shirt but there’s never anything in there, so have kinda given up the ghost. I’m not gunna pre-order something which could be wrong so will wait until spring now I reckon.

i spoke to the shop today, sounds like this batch could be the last this season. I'll be very sad if that's true because I really wanted a home shirt but haven't been able to get one in my size.

Took my 9 year old nephew in there on Saturday to try and by something, anything.

He's just a usual size for a kid. Turns out he can either wear an XS top which is tighter in the body but with perfect arm length or a S and the body is fine, but assumes he has arms as long as mine.

How the hell does a company get measurements so wrong?

Anyway - annoyingly the club shop probably lost out on £100 on Saturday as I would have bought myself something if there was anything in there at all. Shame.

My (nearly) 7YO is now an 2XS but is a bit taller than most his age but was an 3XS until recently. There was a very limited range in the training stuff in there but plenty of red kits for the 4XS and 5XS age range so if you have a 3/5 YO, you can defo get a proper genuine football shirt from the shop …

What grates me is that my son and im sure many other kids would like the full kit from the man in red. He wants the full 3rd kit from him and on his xmas list.

Now, the club shop you can only pre order the poxy shirt.

Now, they better sort this fisaco out. Cause, come xmas day my boy will be questioning if the big man is real cause he hasnt provided him the full kit.

I feel MACRON under vaule us a a club. Poxy Gillingham get the full treatment including better bespoke options for kits. I know, cause im a kit geek.

Instead, we get stuff that stevie wonder design our crest. The shop could be making so much more money if we was'nt undervaule as a club. Yes, we nearly went out of business last season. I let them off. However, the takeover was on the cards for ages. Always, have plans in place esp for retail. They are a **** up. No stock cause under vaule as a club.

common sense should tell you have the whole kit availavble for kids not adults. If u want the full kit as an adult. U need some help and should be monitored very closely!
