if you want to win football games. Well discussed on here but as you would have seen yesterday, Smith completely bottled the cross for the second goal costing us yet again.
Can't believe he didn't cut that one out as he had first shot at it but refused yet again. Please don't play him again as a handicap of one goal a game is not ideal.

I know you don't know much about football, but thought you were a goalkeeper in your day. Therefore can't believe you feel he could have got from the near post to the far post and win the ball.

Can't blame Smith for everything. If he makes a mistake, fair enough, but the second goal wasn't his fault.

Ask some of the Southend goalkeeping coaches and they will agree.

Yes you are...did you see it, probably not, too busy sleeping. Someone needs to highlight to the new management what a liability he really is. Keep snoring ****!

WTF you on about. I only fall asleep when you post.

Oh here I gooooooooo

But the immobile lump was in the middle of the goal and turned his back again....useless!

TBH I have never felt comfortable with Smith all season, ok at shot stopping but bottles it elsewhere.

I would put Bentley in next Sunday.

Well you certainly don't contribute anything worth reading, have to replace your Z key soon!

Have to agree with all of this. Bentley was dropped because of Smith's experience but it did us no good. Great shot stopper but we wont' get out of L2 with Smith in goal. We need a vocal, commanding goalkeeper and Smith will never be that. Bentley for me at Wembley and he needs to play tomorrow too.

...i really didn't want to open this up again but this bloke should never play for us again and should be given away to either Borient or Col U. If midgets like Belford or Flavs had not cut that one out then i would have been amazed let alone a giant like Smith.....he will never ever grow some and League 2 needs that!

His 'attempt' the stop the Bradford 2nd was embarrassing. Prosser has took a knock from it and that's what he's scared of.

Generally I would agree, but is Smith the man for the big occasion? Look at the Brentford game if you want convincing.
