Most dislked Blues player ever.

DTS

The Business
I think as a rule I have always pretty much liked 99% of the players that we have had in my 20 years watching Southend.

However from time to time you just happen to get someone that rubs you up the wrong way. My main gripe is players that just seen to be playing for the money rather than the club.

I help but think its not hard to win us - the fans over. A bit of clapping at the end of a game and run your heart out for 90 mins and you will always win the fans over - Scotty Forbes for example.

So this thread is decidicated to the ONE player that in your time watching the Blues you just havent liked. It can be for any reason but please give a reason not just a name.

I am going to go for GORDON CONNELLY...I dont think I ever seen a bloke play with less passion, effort or commitment in my life. I really hated him so much so I wanted to punch him when he was warming up.

Nothing gave me greater pleasure to see him crash and burn down the Scottish leagues. I dont know where he is now but I hope he is a miserable faliure at whatever he does.

Does anyone have a more hated player?

Tesfaye Shambles for me... He opitomised laziness. The single most frustrating player I've had to watch and gave the impression he couldn't care less. Would bundle around the pitch for 90 minutes, barely breaking a sweat, and aside a minute few moments of talent, generally did nothing in my eyes to warrant himself a place in any Football Squad. Speaks volumes that his most memorable performance in a Blue Shirt was playing the complete opposite position he farcically passed himself of as, In between the sticks Vs. Boston, and thats only because he barely had to f*cking move.

Goes on loan to Cambridge towards the latter end of our Play-Off winning season and scores a 30 yard belter against Borient... Why the f*ck couldnt he have performed like that for us?

Many people will say Mark Rawle or Leon Constantine, but they were generally favoured when they actually played, it's their actions off the pitch after they'd left us that sparked the hate.

Cue an MTS Boere rant........

for me , the most disappointing was Tony Currie, heard the big name ex international had signed and was really looking forward to seeing hime grace the RH turf , only for him to pull a hamstring putting his boots on (or something like that)

Most hated -- John Keeley

I don't know why you say goodbye, I say Jeroen..... never before or since have i seen a bigger attitude problem from someone with very little right to have one, than that displayed by Mr. Boere. Complete contempt for the people who paid his (substantial) wages. Grrr.

Id go with Guttridge too, possibly because its still clear in the memory.

I know they need to make a living but he is clearly a total mercenary and showed no loyalty whatsoever.

Had his agent touting him January of last year as soon as he started playing well and when we got to the Championship where he thinks he belongs he was awful and then threw his toys out of the pram when rightly dropped.

Lee Chapman, scored within 2 minutes of his debut at Grimsby, but we ended up losing 4-1 .. it is alleged that in the dressing room afterwards he announced to the rest of the team "i've never been relegated in my career, but if i stay with you lot i definately will" Expletives aplenty too, but not neccessary to repeat them here.
So he went and joined Ipsh!t, who at the time were something like 10 points adrift at the foot of the Premiersh!te - on their way to amassing a record low points tally (until Sunderland lowered their mark not once but twice :hilarious: )

Step forward Chapman, you gutless clown :guns: :guns: :guns:

Two players stand out in my memory:

1. Carl Emberson. I can find no other words to sum up this player apart from sh*t. I don't think I ever saw him have a good game.
2. Graeme Jones. He was just plain useless. I've never seen such a big player incapable of winning any headers.

kevin o connell...ex millwall, escape to victory etc....always had that been there done it look on his face.. but what finally tipped me over the edge was sitting in the east greens where my s ticket was just in front of where the injured/dropped players sit. i cant remember who we were playing but it was the season we had austin and chris p as full backs. we had missed 7 pens on the spin and dean austin stepped up and missed another one at a crucial stage of the match.. ****to started laughing (fairly loudly). fair to say he had a volley of abuse from all around.
a complete minge

Impossible to decide between Drewe and Mario Walsh. Now wouldn't that be an attacking line we could have some fun with - mind you I would be ejected for using too much foul and abusive langauge probably along with the rest of the crowd
