Morrison Bids Rejected

Lol, I dont understand that at all.

Surely there is no difference between a centreback who wears the 5 shirt and one that wears the 6.

A centreback is a centreback, whilst some have different styles I dont have any perception that either shirt number refers to any particular type!?

I think what he is trying to say is that traditionally no.5 was the centre half and no.6 was left half in the days when tactics and formations were either 4-2-4 or 4-3-3 formations.

I think he's talking about the difference between a Prior/Sodje commanding, ball-winning centre-half and the second centre-half who mops up aftwerwards and plays the ball out of defence.

Still waiting for you to name a possible replacement for Tilson.

I seem to remember Wiggy advocating bringing in Mark Stimson earlier in the season. He's not exactly set the world alight at Gillingham so far.

I don't know how to quote more than one post at a time but someone mentioned the Richards transfer and him wanting first team football - strange thing is that he's been on the subs bench at Gillingham since he's been there.

Instead of clicking the Quote button, click the Parenthesis button on every post you want to quote until the last one you want to quote - THEN click the Quote button on that post, and you will have all the quotes.

listen results aside which i think are decidley poor considering how fantasticly well we were going to perform at the bginning of the season, we have been playing awfully, results are results Yes I love winning I also enjoy being entertained and there can be many reasons for that, some people like impressive football arsenal style some like the bashem and bully em entertainment, but rolling over and dying in most games this season is not my kind of entertainment, that sall im saying , getting points is totally different from performance and I honestly think we have been shocking this season, Obvioulsy its un pleasing to post anything negative towards our club on here now I take it?? well I shall be making banners and flying over to the white house from now on.....

Not eveyone thought pre-season we were going to set the league alight. I was worried we were going to be in a relegation fight. If you had said pre-season we would be 9th in mid-Feb I'd have taken that. The thing that makes it seem that we're on a downward slope is that we were going well until the Forest defeat. I don't think we've ever got back on track since that night.
I don't think we've been shocking all season - some matches we have, some we've played well. One of our biggest problems is inconsistency and the other is leaking goals. Until those are sorted we're not going to be a serious challenger in this league.
Unless we get taken over by someone with pots of cash, the only way forward is going to be slowily and steadily and that needs stability. I haven't got a Tilson-does-no-wrong outlook but getting rid of him would put us back in the merry-go-round of changing managers every 18 mths like we did before he came along.

that was my first thought - its down in the bottom right corner - looks like two commas - next to quote button

Don't want to be picky but to avoid confusion the button that is clicked on to multi-quote is the multi-quote button and indeed is indicated by quote marks ". If there was a Parenthese button then it would be indicated by a left or right parentheses ( or ) (or brackets as we used to call them in my school days).

Back to the thread... is the loan window open yet because our squad is looking awfully thin for Saturday?
