Lets get behind all our players this Saturday and every match , we need to raise the roof + make fortress Roots Hall a hostile place for opposition players rather than our men in blue.

UTB
Give me something to shout about and I will as noisy as the best of them , all I want is a bit of pride in the shirt and a bit of quality and guile ...... nothing more nothing less , the players at this level arent the best , I get that , but half arsed attempts and poor attitude is likely to get a different response .....difficult not to groan when somebody cant hit a target or pass ten yards to a blue shirt .....fact of life that disappointment gets a frustrated response

All I said in the match thread regarding Timlin was, he is playing out of position and I wish he'd play with that in mind with a more cautious approach. Don't dive in. Don't get too tight. Just stand them up and keep it tidy. Do the basics...

As for him calling out a support, you shouldn't, but that makes me like him all the more.

didnt hear what was said from upstairs , as I sit in south lower and your ''along the lines'' is very close to fact ... luckily the kids were missing last night , otherwise it would have been very wrong ,

I also hear that was the case, but like I say wasn't
there, my mate said exactly the above

My guess, from what I know of Tims ( from a few chats and his history) is that he won't hide or sulk from a bit of terrace claptrap. He will want to be playing and he will have thought through what each game has taught him. He has a big part to play in our smallish squad and he will know that if every player was fit he would be warming the bench.
He will give 100%.

No-one can possibly doubt that, the question is, is his 100% enough these days?

Does he try TOO hard and want t give more than he can? Try to make a tackle that isn't on, a hard pass instead of a short side pass, a diversion run to make space that leaves him out of position, a sub conscious midfield/back confusion?

If you asked him to play in goal he would. He does what he is asked to do for the team and does it to the best of his ability. He is not a LB first but still does it well enough according to the people that matter to get picked there. Great squad player and great team player.

There will always be a few ignoramuses who don't mind exhibiting the fact in the middle of a football stand..

Think that's the key.

Last season, when Ben Cokes got injured early on against Bradford City, we were in a bit of a dilemma, as we had no natural left-back replacement in the squad, except a youthful Kyprianou.

Tims stepped in and did a great job.

Very good squad player for us.

I didn't abuse him tonight ( as I never do to any player ) , but despite all his effort and endeavour he will never be a full back.
Nothing to do with effort , but his positional sense is appalling.
The blame tonight for why I think we nearly lost the game is with the Manager ( who I largely support ).
We started with White on the bench who has been MoM on 3 or 4 occasions this season- which makes no sense.
Timlin is not a bad player , but playing out of position
Whilst playing out of position!
