Matt Harrold - time for a comeback ?

I dont think Foran is to bad personally.

Did a good job at Sheff Wed last season for us and had a few good games at the start but just hasnt really delivered. At least he has experience at a decent level and has scored goals all be it not really for us bar the Burnley game.

Not a far but not sad to see him start if he dont sign someone soon.

As much as I've always defended Harrold on here, I don't think bringing him back into the fold is the priority right now. We need to sort the left side of the team out. If we can bring in a decent left-back and left sided midfielder (probably loanees) within the next week then we will have gone a long way towards addressing the holes in the squad.

Strikers are paid to score goals and Harrold dosent do that, i agree that he works hard and always gives 100% but if you cant find the back of the net you're doing something wrong.

If theres a choice between giving Matt more time, or giving Richie a fresh chance, then id pick Foran. Stick him on the left if we dont get anyone better in and see if he has improved his work-rate. If Harrold is given another shot it means leaving one of either Barny, Walker, Revell, Furlong out and i'd rather we use a 75% fit one of those four then a fully fit Harrold

Me too, at least Foran has some ability, much as I admired Harrold for his very spirited last appearance for us, I really do think that's it now.

I cant lay into the lad too much because he is a tryer and hard worker, but he obiously just doesnt have the talent, its nothing personal just fact. It's either not his level or we are the wrong system for him

He deserves another chance in my eyes.Putting him in with the kids is a ****ing joke.

His last game for us he was superb.The 'keeper made some great saves from Matt before he was wrongly sent off.Harrold was a real threat the last game he played and showed that he really can cut the mustard.He has Championship experience,aint slow and is better than Revell and should be given another try-out while the games don't matter and the squad is still thin.

Bloody shame he got injured because it would have been interesting to see him play after getting a standing ovation from a disbelieving Roots Hall.If he gets one in the net early and the fans get behind him i think the kid would do well and might be a brilliant foil for Barnard,like he was for Leon.

Take off those blinkers Tilson and grow some bo££ocks and sling him in.We've gotta pay the kid anyway!

At least if Harrold has got any sense of direction (i.e. which goal he should be aiming for) he shouldn't have any trouble with that keeper!

Can't disagree with this. IMO his main problem is having a powder puff shot or when trying more power, unable to accurately hit the target and for a "striker" that is pretty damning.

He might do better at a much lower grade.
