Mark Molesley

oh no ....

i didn't know Gareth Southgate posted on here . !!

if you want to be PROVED RIGHT in life focus on the national lottery

otherwise accept you know sweet FA like every other poster - no better no worse ..

BTW - when people are rude to me on here i occasionally get drawn into retaliating by being rude back ( i am good at it) then i end up hating myself for being so petty ,,

peace love and understanding ..
Good call Rayleigh boy - thanks :Thumbs up:

And with that gents please could we move on and focus on topic with MM rather than each other.

Thread title makes it sound like a drinks reception which he probably needs/deserves after his time trying to run the club in those conditions.

On Shrimperzone all posters opinions are equal ....Some are just less equal than others.

It'll be nothing from me, no abuse nor any applause.

As Far as I am concerned he's in the past now and is part of an era which I am trying to erase from memory, we hopefully have a good thing going on now and all focus will be on backing the current regime, hopefully to another 3 points.

my dear friend I know nothing about football management ... I am not a football manager ...

Mark Moseley is a non league football manager. He was given the opportunity to manage a well supported professional football club in the EFL .

He FAILED and got them relegated.

He FAILED ... he got us relegated .. he was ****e ..

I can;t stand seeing his name ... I think Billy Bunter could have kept us up.

I thought his gang of mates was a joke

The team always looked clueless ..

I glad you have a different opinion and am delighted he is doing so well back in the non league world where he came from

The man who took us non league - can't stand the sight of him... YUK YUK

He always looked non league in his trainers ..

a nightmare - wtf did you remind me of it

aAAAAAAAAAAArrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrggggggggggggggggggggghhhhhhhhhhhh

This is a well spoken truthful post!

I mean the fact he persisted to play Emile Acquah said it all.

This would carry more weight, were it not for the praise you used to lavish on another manager who .. wait .. got us relegated from league 1 and therefore also FAILED. Surely you should be equally ****ed off at him. At least Molesley had a bit of class and got the name of the team right.

He'll get a respectful clap from me. He worked his arse off and so desperately wanted to help the club, and I respect him for wanting to give it a go. However, it was no doubt the wrong time for him to come here, and he was well-and-truly shafted by the tools and environment he was given to work with. Not to mention the fact that he had to endure working with Ricky Duncan as defacto DoF, which I don't believe was a brilliant relationship. That's all on lazy Ron for listening to Harry Redknapp rather than going for the type of transparent and professional recruitment campaign that resulted in Kev/Daz/Benno, and for giving Ricky Duncan far more power and influence than his ability ever warranted rather than bringing in better-suited football people to make important decisions and create an identity. MM also had a hugely inexperienced team around him, and I know the players generally liked his ideas but felt he was a bit too nice.

Coming in with a more experienced assistant and perhaps to work in our new football department set-up, I think he'd be more successful - but I do think Kev has a better plan and blueprint for how he wants us to play.

That said, it was an unbelievably low time and one which we and he would probably like to put in the rear view and move on from.

Great post, sums up how I feel about MM really. Personally, I think we should be putting all our energies into getting behind the lads and the new management team who have made a big difference. But it's also an example of how bad the structures were before, and what a difference it makes when not only do you have a CEO who knows what he's doing, but also an environment conducive to transparency and good practice.

If I ever meet Mark Molesley, I will thank him for his tireless work and for what he tried to do at the club, I do believe we would never have been relegated if it were solely down to him, I also believe Brown sent us backwards in his six months in charge. But I think Tuesday is a time to be focusing on the now, and the future.

I think we were relegated some sort of points per game thingy .. and sure its good to disagree cos I liked the way Sol played our youth products ... and I liked the way he dealt with Hutchinson .

He certainly got the team fit and organised - he never moaned about the club and left without enforcing his contract payoff

I am also a bit cynical about the smear campaign that was mounted against him cos I know about some other managers who had personal issues did not get it publicised .. who knows though .. at one point it sounded serious and the next thing not so .

Nothing much has been said about one time hero R Duncan - I wonder what was going on there .

But I was totally wrong about Phil Brown mk2 - I thought it was a good idea at the time but it was clearly a total disaster ...

blah blah - 3 points tom is all that matters

Agree fully with your last sentence.

I find it weird that there is a strange obsession with Molesley on here despite the fact the three managers before him were all significantly more hopeless and responsible for the decline and mess we are in now than he was.

Doesn't deserve to be applauded. Doesn't deserve to be booed.

Let’s be honest, the position we find ourselves in is not down to Molesley as much as it isn’t down to Sol, Kevin Bond or Phil Brown. It all stems from woeful mismanagement of the club by one man.

However, the brand of football we played under Molesley deserves a boo (even if it’s just a quiet under the breath one) alone!

The reaction to Molesley should be 0 no claps, no boos.

It was a tough gig he had but we were still atrocious and he did nothing to stop that. Let's just forget it even happened.
